Metal mesh filter reduces plosives.
Unless you are completely hurt for cash and need something on short notice, I recommend buying something better than this. It does do its job, sure...but it's very flimsy. It doesn't have an edge on the outer side, so basically you have a circle cut out of very thin mesh. Anyway, like I said, if you can afford a few more bucks, you should definitely go up. I will be!

I was looking for a pop filter for a small home studio project, I was a little hesitant about it being so cheap but since it was metal I tried it. Works great. It past the "lighter" test and my vocals are better than ever.

Besides being a little flimsy, this has been great for all types of vocals whether male or female. The moveable arm stays where you put it and is plenty long. As long as you don't smash this in a gig bag and bend the mesh too badly, you'll never need a more expensive filter.
