Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless,
operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions:
the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level
(not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received
from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently
evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change.

At this point, I've only had the opportunity to try out the system with a quick test in my living room and on one occasion at an actual venue. Over the next several months as I get a chance to use it a little more, I may update this review if that's possible.
First of all, as a point of reference, I use this equipment for theatrical presentations which we present in various venues from small party rooms for 50 people to large ballrooms for 200 or more. It is almost all dialog, only occasional singing and never used for musical instruments. For several years I have been using a NADY ENCORE DUET system which has two wireless handheld mics (also VHF). I've had very good success with these mics. The sound quality is quite good and I have only run into an interference problem on a few occasions and usually just relocating the base unit (receiver)clears that up.
With that in mind, I decided to purchase this single mic lavaliere system. I wasn't sure how often we may need it, but the price was very reasonable, especially compared to UHF systems... and since we had such good luck with our other NADY mics, I though it was worth a try.
I hooked it up, along with my handheld mics (they are all on different frequencies). I was working on a stage area roughly 40ft by 12ft. The reception was equally good with all three mics from the entire stage area. Out of curiosity, I moved off the stage with the lavaliere, probably 80 feet from the receiver, and still had good reception.
The basic sound quality of the lavaliere was actually pretty good. However, it turns out I wasn't able to use it for this particular event. The problem was, the mic, like most lavalieres, is omni-directional and the room we were in was a live, cavernous space with lots of natural reverberation. Subsequently, the mic was picking up the bouncing sound waves and muddying up the vocal quality of the person using it. In addition to the volume control on my PA, this system has a volume control on the receiver and an input level control on the transmitter. Unfortunately, I had limited time to set up, so I wasn't able to play around with the three various controls to see if I could work out a balance between the three that would solve the problem.
Despite being unable to use the lavaliere system for this particular show, I was actually very impressed with both the reception and the basic sound quality. I will be anxious to try it out for shows in a smaller venue and see how that works. Or have more time to work with it in another large room.
One minor flaw - they included a sponge-type wind screen which doesn't fit tightly and therefore falls off pretty easily. I'm guessing that I will lose it fairly soon.
Basically, I'm happy with my purchase, especially for the price.
