  • guitar fretboard workbook

As reviewed by bryan on 6/25/2010

This is an excellent book in explaining major, minor, pentatonic and scales theory. The book is also great in explaining the relationship between strings in terms of half and whole steps. The exercise section is real helpful in helping you to demonstrate your understanding. While the book is short, the information contained is hugely valuable. There is no substitute for practicing the scales and principals you are learning, so you can expect to spend a lot of time just to move 4 or 5 pages. But if your serious, this should not discourage you. As you practice these scales more and more, they will almost automagically begin to link to one another and before long be able to jump around the fretboard and stay perfectly within the scale.
