  • Contemporary Training for Modern Musicians

As reviewed by AznJazz on 5/31/2007

For those who ever wanted to play by ear or just have be a balance musician, this is the book for you. This helps you build a basis on the grounds on listening to music that is both enjoyable and intellectual. If you ever read "Hearing and Writing Music" by Ron Gorow, it shares the basic principles on developing a musical ear and more. Unlike Gorow's book, this book contains CDs and is fraction of the price. This book is by Musician Institute, so you know it is trustworthy because it is the same methods they used to teach their students in their curriculums. Like everything in life you have to work on it to achieve what you want, this book won't magically give you musically ears it only help you along the way making the process easier and less stressful.
