I have a 2x12" Line 6 Spider Valve. The other stands I tried wouldn't work for me becuase the amp was too high off the ground and I was afraid the thing would tip. Not with this stand! It was designed for large combo amps. It sits right on the ground and puts your amp at a 45 degree angle. It's very light and folds flat. I'd buy it again if something happened to my current one.

I ordered the Musicians Gear Tilt Back stand as a way of getting more projection from my Marshall MG250, problem is the stand is not universal for all amps. The crossbar on the stand uprights sits exactly where the power supply cord plugs in and where the foot switch plugs in. There is no possible way to make it work without putting a block of wood underneath the amp to raise it above the crossbar. Also the tubing in which the stand is made out of is a lot smaller than the picture represents. This stand is probably good for a small, one speaker amp.

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

I use the stand on my large "71 Marshall Club and Country combo. The stand does a fine job tilting the amp at an angle I can hear it. No issues at all with it.

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

This stand is perfect for my Fender 2x12 amp. I have tried other stands that were not stable enough but this is perfect. It's easy to take to gigs and also perfect for the studio.

    Musician's Gear Amp Stand

    By

    from Ontario, Canada

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Good basic amp stand to get the sound where you need it - up at your ears rather than down at your ankles. I have only had it for a couple of weeks, but it seems sturdy and well built. The fact that the amp is basically on the floor rather than up in the air as with some other stands (one of which I bought - mistake!) makes it much more sturdy, less likely to tip over. Holds a Marshall DSL40C perfectly and the top cross bar of the stand does not affect the ability to plug in to the effects loop, footswitch, etc. on this amp.

    simple and sturdy

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

this makes so much more sense than those complicated tilting stands. sure, it does not raise your amp off the ground very much, but the important thing is the angle. this really does pack up flat, too. i use it with my 1960's ampeg reverberocket, and it is a perfect fit.

Was concerned about price and size.

    By

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Other reviews talked about this fitting 2x12 combos well and I was concerned that it might be too large for the 1X12 combo I was needing a stand for. It fits perfectly and for under $20 is solidly built. Very happy with this purchase.

    Acoustic B100

    By

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

If You own and Acoustic B100 Bass Amp then you should pretty much own this stand. I imagine you could apply that to any amp, but thats what i use and Ive notice vast improvements in the way my amp can fill any room with sound.

This is one of those bang-for-the-buck items!

    By

    from Alexandria, VA

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

This is great; really cheap and seems to do exactly what it's supposed to. I have an open-back 2-12 cabinet to use as an alternative to my Marshall's 4-12 1960AX cab. This amp stand provides the perfect angle for my new smaller cab, to allow me to hear myself without having to kill the people in the front row when I want to crank it. Hope it holds us over time; seems to be sturdy.

    Awesome Tiltback Stand

    By

    from Shelbyville, IL

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

This is actually one of my best purchases in a long time. This stand works great with my 212 combo by putting the music right at my head. I don't have to crank it so loud to hear it and I can see where my settings are at without standing on my head. It has tremendously helped our stage volume.

    Large folding tiltback amp stand

    By

    from Orlando, Florida

Comments about Musician's Gear Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Outstanding product. Best price on any amp stands that I had researched. It was only available from Guitar Center on their website though, not in their stores in central Florida. The stand itself is sturdy, well-made, folds down for easy carrying, and sits squarely on the floor so that it won't tip over with your amp on it. Easily holds my Vox Valvetronix amp. It might not be big or heavey enough for a really large amplifier though.
