I grabbed this cable when I bought my first electric guitar. I wanted to make sure I got a quality cable but also didn't feel I wanted to spend a lot of money on a cable. This suited me just right.

The cable is overall great. I would buy again.
The weight and feel of it is excellent. The gauge is heavy so I feel there is no detriment to the sound (though as I mentioned I am a novice so I really have nothing to compare to).
The braided covering is very aesthetically pleasing.
I length is good and it doesn't tangle easily (or arguably not at all).

My only problem with it is my connector comes loose. Not the connector from the cable, and not the connector from my guitar or amp. But how the outer sheath screws on over the whole thing, that keeps coming unscrewed slightly. Never extremely, but I seem to always be tightening it.
Not a big deal overall, but that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. And honestly, it is only one side so it may just be a slightly imperfect connector. I'll probably just put a dab of superglue or locktite on it to hold it in place.

I bought this cable when I got a new guitar and it sounded good when going straight into the amp. Because I had no pedals at the time. I then bought my first pedal and wanted more. I never thought about getting a pedal board, but I never wanted to buy one so I made one out for wood and it is awesome, so back to the cable, I then used this cable for another year. So it has been a year since I bought this cable and it is already falling apart and I have to have it in a position where I can't keep it there because I wanna play. Good this is that I found Musicians Friend, (you should buy from there more often). I ordered a new amp and coil cable, and more things for free shipping and no tax. I would recommend Musicians friend if you want to ship something for free and guitar center if you want to buy in store. DON"T BUY THIS CABLE IT IS TRASH.

Bought 4 total of these cables. Two are intermittent due to bad plugs or faulty assembly.

Wonder if GC will offer replacements.

Does GC even read these reviews? In the last 2 years I've bought 5 GK amps or cabinets, two five string basses, one four string, and strings galore.

        GC, your move.

          Affordable & Good

          from Lancaster, PA

Comments about Musician's Gear Instrument Cable:

I've just started using this cable, but I've found it to perform well, plus it looks nice, and it's a good length (the other cables I have are about 10' and often a bit too short for the stages I'm playing. I highly recommend it!

          Tweed Cable

          By Max Glass

          from Olathe, Kansas

Comments about Musician's Gear Instrument Cable:

I bought six of the black and tweed cables for use at home and at church. They look really sharp, especially with acoustic guitars and they don't tangle up even when walked on when on stage. Great value at the regular price and I got them on sale at a significant discount.

          Great Cable for the price

          By James Glasscock

          from Clinton, MO

Comments about Musician's Gear Instrument Cable:

First of all I got these for $5 on sale and at that price they are a solid 5 stars. But as to full price I dropped it to four and here is why: The ends seem to be well constructed and durable The cable is a little stiff which I didn't think I would like, but after using it it is virtually tangle free and doesn't try to kink like my "regular" cord does. The woven coating is where the issue comes in. One of the cables came with frayed pieces in several places. I have not used them all that much and I wonder how they will hold up long term. Others said they were durable, but the label says made in China, so who knows. As of right now I would buy these again if I needed one and at $5 I would buy a box full.

          Great cable value

          By sam morgan

          from Hamburg, NY

Comments about Musician's Gear Instrument Cable:

Purchased 5 of these cables on sale and was pleasantly impressed. All worked on arrival. Tone and volume were not noticeabley different from my more expensive cables and the cloth jacket prevents them from kinking up. They naturally tend to lie flat. Time will be the judge of their longevity, but so far I'm very happy with these little bargains.
