I am very hard on drumsticks and I normally use Vic Furth 5A. I Have been playing the drums for about four years now, and I would like to think I know whats going on when it comes to equipment. Any how The drumsticks hold up the best out of any of the generic brands I have tried. The only complaint I have about them is that the 5A are slightly smaller/thinner than the Vic Furth 5A. All in all I highly recommend them, in fact I am going to buy some right now.

I'm a public school music teacher. I bought 5 of these 10-packs for my classroom. They were on sale for $9, so I couldn't really go wrong. They're worth about that - I wouldn't pay $30. They weren't sanded, so I had to sand 100 sticks before I could pass them out to kids. Each pack was different so I had to paint them so kids would be able to easily find a matching set. For my bucket drumming class, there is no better option. I'm happy. I would be upset if I had paid $30 for each pack.

Surprised

By Berk

from Johnstown, PA

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drum Sticks:

When I got these sticks i was hoping for 5B's wooden tipped. When I got them they for 5A wood tips. I was a little worried about the size when I got them, but they hold up nicely. When you get sticks this cheap usually they lack a good finished, surprisingly they are barely rough. I would even use them for shows!

AMAZING

By KYOOBED

from PA

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drum Sticks:

These sticks are amazing. I ordered 3 packs, 30 pairs of sticks, and was expecting all sorts of misfitting seconds. But i was pleased that all three packs came as 5B nylon tips, the aren't laquered which is a downside for me, But they last a very long time. They are an AMAZING value for any drummer on a budget. All you need to do is when you get them roll them on the ground and make sure they are all pretty straight, and then pitch match them. But all in all these are perfect sticks, at least in my situation. I'm sure your results might vary.

Great Value, perfect for certain styles.

By Tony

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drum Sticks:

These sticks come unstamped and unlaquered which is perfect for me because I stamp these sticks myself with my band's name. When I throw them into the crowd or just give them away, people will have a souvenir to take home plus they can check out the bands website. I also like the feel of an unlaquered stick when I sweat alot. They seem to slip less. The price is probably the best feature though, when you break, throw, or give away alot of sticks like I do, cheap sticks are a good idea.

Musicians Gear Hickory Drumsticks

By Mike Kasprzyk

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drum Sticks:

I originally bought these sticks to hand out to kids at certain shows. But after using them they actually feel pretty good. They're pretty well balanced and stand up to the " beating " I can give my more expensive sticks. I recommend them to any Drummer.

good deal if...

By eddie

Comments about Musician's Gear Hickory Drum Sticks:

the sticks i tend to use are both vic firth and pro-mark, i always use them for any gig i have and would never change them for anything. Im a heavy player, constant rim shots, real hard strokes so you can imagine how long they might last. Now these sticks won't last me for the gigs i have, however i use them for practice only, that way i don't have to wear off the good ones. I don't play as hard when I practice although i still can be a little rough with sticks during rehearsal, they last quite a while and definitely a good deal.
