ALOT of case for the money!

By Kirk Lee

from KC Missouri area

Just like the title says..... Okay, it's not a Calton, and I've got some pretty nice custom made Dreads (not that they're not worthy of a Calton), but I could buy six of these cases and still not have ONE Calton case. Let me just say that I wouldn't trust an airline baggage handler with ANY instrument of mine with ANY case....period. These cases are molded with very strong polymer/fiberglass (whatever) and are contoured to take a CONSIDERABLE amount of pressure before they even hint at flexing. I was very skeptical when I brought the first one home (I've now got two). I had previously purchased an "Eastman" style case and it looked great from a distance but lacked sufficient "molded contour" to make it really rigid. This case is far superior to the Eastman and yes, it is heavier, but it's built like a tank. Be mindful of the lid seal however; don't get in a hurry when you close the case so the lid doesn't "crush" the seal. These cases are a steal at $120.00. They fit true "standard" dreadnaughts very well, with just that right amount of snugness, yet have sufficient padding to handle any roadtrip you might find yourself on (sans irate baggage handler). There is a small compartment for tuner, picks, pegwinder, capo etc., but if you carry a couple of extra sets of strings, they WILL fit at the top of the case under the peghead of your guitar. For those that say "it's HEAVY!" Buck up!!! Good protection comes with a price. Yeah, these cases do weigh a couple pounds more, but they are VERY sturdy and well built. Bottom line: GREAT case for the money.

Heavy, but Bulletproof Case

By Jamie

from Boston MA

This case is great! For the money, this case is PHENOMENAL! Pros: 1. It's a safe for your guitar. It's rock solid and has a amazing cushioning inside. 2. It has 5 sling points on the outside of the case and comes with two decent straps so the case can be carried in purse fashion or worn as a backpack. Cons: 1. It's heavy. 2. There's a bazillion latches. 3. The rubber gasket between the halves will mark up a wall if you lean the case and move it. Yes, these are minor, niggling cons. If you want an extra level of protection for your guitar at a decent price, this is a good option.

Good Quality

By loveit

I bought this for my Husband, he is going to Afghanistan and I will be mailing it out there. It fit his random guitar very nicely and we are confident it can withstand the Army's brutal mail system. I was scared he wouldn't like the contemporary style but he loves it.

Wonderful

By Anthony

from Mayberry, NC

I love this guitar case. Its very sturdy and its beautiful. My acoustic fits "snug" in it. If I ever need another guitar case, then I will certainly buy another Musicians Gear Fiberglass Dreadnought Guitar Case. On an extra note, every where I go with this case people say/ask "you must have a pretty expensive guitar in there to have a case that nice" or "I bet that case cost a fortune". This is the most fancy guitar case I have ever seen/had. Its a must have in my opinion!
