I was told that this was a lower end mic stand but I didnt want to pay the price on the more expensive ones.. so far I am very happy with these.. I only had one problem with one of the stands with the raise bar but I fixed it, so all is well now.. I would recommend these.. They are a great buy for the price.

The metal shaft of the stand is somewhat thin metal. With the threads on the bottom (where it screws into the base)..it is even thinner. In it's freshly purchased state, this is a good "stand", but will not hold up to any on-stage antics w/ modification. After our first stand's threads (near the base) blew out on the bottom and actually broke off, we decided to insert a 6" wooden dowel into the bottom of the shaft to reinforce it. It now holds up to considerable antics. I would highly recommend this mic stand...as long as you make the quick easy modification to reinforce the threads.

If you're looking for a straight microphone stand, this is the one to get. Not only is it affordable, so far, I find it to be glitch-free.

This is a pretty decent mix stand, especially for the price. My only complaint, is that the base breaks too easily. This sorta, just happened to me, like, five minutes ago.... Kind of a day ruiner.

When you see a mic stand 67% off, you don't ask about quality. However, this stand exceeded my expectations and has held up really well. For $13 you couldn't ask for a better stand.

For the price, you can't go wrong. Heavy base, adjustable tube.

Don't forget the mic clips though. They don't come with them.

Honestly it is a good mic if your not looking to stand up while recording.
That or if your mic is very light. My Mxl Mic is to heavy and it can't support its weight and that's with out a shock mount. So yeah I mean I'm getting use out of it I just have to sit down.

Could be built to withstand travel and stage use better...but then it wouldn't be a less expensive stand. As long as you know what you have and are willing to throw away & buy a new one when broke (as most of our society has become anyway) then this stand will please! Most vulnerable area is at base where pole is threaded. Very thin after machining, as stand ages it weakens until one day most likely from a minimal off balanced or angled drop where base meets floor S-N-A-P. Stand is done for.

The base is heavy so I wouldn't want to use this type for all my mic stands. But I needed a dedicated stand to clamp my iPad clip to and this fits perfectly. The base requires little space so I can place it anywhere it needs to be, even among other mic stands. The price is very reasonable as well.

Does what its suppose to do. Unfortunately the spec list does not include the mount size for mic mounts. This one is too big for the one my mic mount needs.

Compact enough to fit behind my drum set so I can play & sing without a problem! Stable enough to stand a few bumps without falling over.

so this item literally came with only one portion of the stand and the other portion completely missing. I have not had a chance until now to let you (Guitar Center ) that you somehow your packaging department managed to send out half of a mic stand. I was utterly flabbergasted. I want my money back. ASAP
