Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Classical Guitar Case:
The case arrived with a couple of small smudges on the head end, but otherwise in fine condition. It feels fairly sturdy, but of course, only time and use will tell. It fits my Yamaha G-231 with a little extra head room. The case appears to be well and has metal bumpers in the right places. I would have preferred, though, that the latches and handle anchors be attached with screws and nuts instead of rivets. The product description states that the case has "locking fasteners." This is slightly inaccurate. The case has four latches, only one of which locks. The locking latch isn't really meant to be high security though, is it? The handle appears to be made of injection moulded PVC. Anyone remember when instrument case handles were made of real stitched leather? The interior is plush and seems to provide a sufficient amount of padding. The accessory compartment is large enough that a package of strings will lay flat. A capo or small tuner will probably fit in there, too. Overall, I would say this is a good solid economical case. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being utter garbage, 3 being the industry mass production average, and 5 being the nirvana of case perfection, I would rate this case at a strong 3.25. A decent value for the money.
