Looks great, well made and a very nice price. I don't tour, so I don't need a case to stand up to airports. Inside is plush and will keep your bass very comfortable. It will fit my p-bass clone with standard strap pegs, not with straplocks. Just have to remove the strap and it fits snug, no shifting around. If you need a good case for going to lessons, garageband practice or just storing your bass, this is the case you want at a good price.

Great Case For the Price

By REM

from Oklahoma

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

Bought the tweed version of this case and I would rate it as an excellent buy for the money. It may (?) not hold up for years for someone on the road playing 200 gigs a year and throwing it in and out of a van (what would?) but for "normal use" it appears to me it should last a lifetime. No complaints at all and I will be buying another one soon; in black. For the price you can't beat it.

Musicians Gear Deluxe Bass Case

By George Pereira

from Anchorage, Alaska

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

This case has a lot going for it- It's large enough to hold my Traben 5-string, generic enough for my S.D.Curlees, it has a roomy & covered gear pocket, nice plush padded lining... plus, even with the shipping to ALASKA it was cheaper than the lowest-priced case I could find locally that would fit my Traben! It's attractive with the stitching around the edge of the lid, and comfortable handle- Good case all around!

excellent for its price

By BIlly

from Delta, PA

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

i bought this case for my bass about 4 years ago and it is great. it has taken some beatings and it is still kickin'. the plush lining, keeps the bass in pristine condition and it also looks great. the handle is comfortable as well. i love the utility compartment, it's big enough to hold my 20 foot cord, a tuner, guitar tools, mic pick holder, picks and still have a good amount of room.

Good case for the money

By GuitarGuy1956

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

If you've got a 4-string baby with no case, this case is worth every penny. Plenty of room in the accessories compartment, nice latches, nice covering, nice balance.

Great buy for the money

By Mike Roberts of Tanners Revenge

from Jamestown, NC

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

A good basic case, it's not as tough as some cases I have had in withstanding abuse, but for the money, you can't beat it. Decent hinges and latches, but like most cases in this price range, forget the lock. Nice padding inside, has fit and protected our bass very well. Will buy again.

Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case

By Dan

from Merriam, Ks

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

Overall, happy with the bass case. Did come as described. Very good packing. Bought it for an Epiphone EBO bass. Not a heavy road case, but will suffice for an in town hard shell gig bag. Only problem is that the tuning pegs of the EBO are quite large and I have to de-tune the strings in order to get it to fit in the case. Not the cases fault, but for this EBO it could use more depth.

Good Case

By Casey

from kettering, ohio

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

This case has been doing very well after six months. I use it at least once a week. It is very spacious and even hold my 5 string LTD bass. The stuff inside the case is softer at some parts (the neck holding piece and edges). Overall a great case, seems like it will last for quite a while.

Looks are deceiving!!!

By Charles O'Leary

from San Francisco, CA

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

i bought this case and within a week, the part of the case that supports the neck (A piece of cheap Styrofoam), collapsed. It may look like a Fender tweed bass case on the outside but it sure isn't built like one.

Very nice case

By Gene

from Dracut, MA

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

I have been looking for hard case for my bass for a while. This is the best bass case for the money. This case is solid and seems like it can take some beating. I like the tweed color, better looking than common black case.

big enough for a warlock

By kevin

from texas

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

i got this just today and im pleased with it. i dont play bass or have a bass, but i have a bc rich warlock and like any warlock owner would know, the warlock is long and its hard to find a cheap case for it and i found this and had to order it. the case is alright. its not the best case around, but not the worst. the price is great, and it does what a case does. the only problem for ME is that it doesnt fit the warlock perfectly, it has to be turned to the side slightly to get it in. although you could probably modify it which i probably will sometime in the future. point it that it protects my guitar in it from scratches and or "battle scars" and its really cheap, cost about as much as a gig bag for the warlock which i think would be a total rip off.

Nice Case

By Hank

from Grass Valley CA

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

This case is better than most bags, although not as sturdy as a Fender case. Good storage inside the case. A Jazz bass will fit. We play twice a week.

Solid construction, Kind of Smelly

By Colin

from San Francisco, CA

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

It will take a while for the lining's "new fabric" smell to wear away, but all-in-all this is a good case. Decent hardware for the locks, optional key, and a sturdy frame. The compartment is large enough to hold a 20' cable, tuner, and extra set of strings and the case itself fits both my jazz and p basses. Pretty lightweight, too!

Not very secure

By Jeremy Breckle

from south roxana, IL

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

I have a Fender Highway One P-Bass that i use this for and every time I open the case the guitar neck has slipped out and is laying to one side or the other. The price is great but maybe for a wider necked bass it would be ok. I'm not totally upset about it being that I take really good care of how I handle my basses even in hard shelled cases but if you just rush and move it around to quick or carelessly it could be a problem.

Not good for angled headstock

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

Obviously not top of the line. Basses with angled headstocks do not fit well at all. OK for for the price. I got them on sale 2 for 1. If you can afford a better one, I'd definitely spend the extra money. But if this is all you can afford and you need a hardcase, it's better than nothing.

      Comments about Deluxe Bass Case:

Looks like a more expensive case and does the job! Operates exactly as described. Quality is equal to what I paid for it. Not super solid, so I wouldn't check it in while traveling across the country. But, perfect for storing my bass at home or transporting it to a gig.

Not enough case too much money

      By Mike

      from Athens Texas

      Site Member

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

I own one of these cases I purchased it for a fender jazz bass. The case is very fragile and does not support the neck at all. The guitar just flops around in the case. It is kind of like caring your guitar around in a card board box. If the price was about $20.00 it would be ok to use with a Squire bass or something inexpensive but over 60.00 with s&h it just aint worth buying.
