Looks great, well made and a very nice price. I don't tour, so I don't need a case to stand up to airports. Inside is plush and will keep your bass very comfortable. It will fit my p-bass clone with standard strap pegs, not with straplocks. Just have to remove the strap and it fits snug, no shifting around. If you need a good case for going to lessons, garageband practice or just storing your bass, this is the case you want at a good price.

As Good As Any Basic Case, does the job!

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

I couldn't be happier with this bass case! Primarily for the sturdiness and support and the great sale they had on it when it was bought. This case easily matches one costing 2 to three times the price I paid. Will last year's if treated well. Plush interior, not inferior, has a locking latch as well. I believe they have improved over what was being manufactured a few years ago according to reviews. You won't find this case in Guitar Center at that price. Well worth the order time, just 2 days. Don't believe the naysayers, simply put it is quality a build and can withstand normal use. If you plan to travel the world, get a flight case. But going city to city in your van or other, this case does the job.

Not enough case too much money

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

I own one of these cases I purchased it for a fender jazz bass. The case is very fragile and does not support the neck at all. The guitar just flops around in the case. It is kind of like caring your guitar around in a card board box. If the price was about $20.00 it would be ok to use with a Squire bass or something inexpensive but over 60.00 with s&h it just aint worth buying.

    Owned 15 years

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

I have owned both the black and tweed cases for over 15 years. The black case acquired a few tears in the tolex but has stood the test of time. It still carries my M.I.A Fender P-bass to this day. The tweed case has always accompanied the black case as I own a M.I.J. Fender Sting P-bass I use as a back up if a string brakes. Other than a couple of scuffs, it has held up beautifully. I will tell you that the tweed case is well worth the extra money spent as it has held up a lot better than the black. In fact I just ordered two tweed guitar cases this past weekend to replace gig bags my Tradition Tele and Epi Wilshire are stored in. I included the make and model of my guitars not to brag but to let you know you can trust your pride and joy possessions in them. Hope this helps

    Good for the price

    By

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

Let's face it, this is the least expensive hard shell case you are going to find. It protects your bass better than a gig bag. I would never use this for a road case, it would fall apart by the time you hit the fourth city on a tour. However, for storing that extra guitar under the bed or in your basement - this does the trick. Plenty of room for extra strap, picks, strings, etc. But the construction and hardware is "C" grade instead of the heavy duty stuff you'll find on an ATA or Fender case, but they cost two or three times more money. I give it four stars for value, but it's really a two star case.

    Musician's Gear Hard-shell Bass Case

    By

    from Weatherford, OK

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

For the money, this case is great. It fits my Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass perfectly. I don't gig very much, just mainly play praise and worship at my church, and the case stands up well. For a hard-gigging musician, however, you might consider Fender's case. It's more expensive, but will probably stand up to the rigors of the road much better. Overall 4/5 stars on this great money-friendly case.

    Good light duty case

    By

    from Grafton, WI

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

I have a Squier Jaguar and it just fits in this case. The top strap button rubs going in, but it does fit. It may wear the fabric after time, but I don't take it in and out on a daily basis. I don't know that I would want this case for gigging or traveling, but for storage and taking to a lesson or buddy's house, it is excellent. I purchased the tweed version for my Strat and loved it, so I tried this for my bass and it is exactly what I need. If you don't need a heavy duty traveling case, this is a great case for a great price.

    What a deal!!

A well-built and affordable case. A velcro neck strap at the neck holder would make this case perfect.

A Great Deal - Perfect for all but the most demanding situations

    By

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

For just a little more than a good gig bag you get a nice case. While it isn't up to touring the country on planes, it isn't priced or sold as such. But for home storage, local gigs and such, it is perfect. Well built and solid the only thing that could be better is the neck rest - a little soft. But that is easily addressed. Highly recommended!!!

    Case in a pinch

    By

    from Pawtucket, RI

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case:

If you are looking for a case just to keep your bass from getting damaged, this will work. It is light, fairly sturdy, and offers protection inside and out. If you are gigging and other people will be handling your equipment, you may want to spend a bit more money and get a more hefty case. Great for the price though!
