My experience pretty much echos all the other reviews. This stand is sturdy and easy to set up and is reasonably priced. The adjustments allow you to set the amplifier at three different levels, and a fourth, lower level, if you slide the arms all the way down. However, if you assemble the top of the stand like it is shown in the website display picture (short arms on bottom) the center of gravity will be forward of the A-frame base and the stand will easily tip forward. I believe the correct assembly is to turn the top arms around so that the longer arm is under the amplifier. Unless your amplifier is very tall, you should follow my recommendation for the best stability, or at least try it both ways and check for tipping. You will probably also like the angle the amplifier is held at better with the longer arms on bottom.

does the job. It's sturdy and portable. But...... I wanted something that points the amp at different angles, or at least at more of an angle than this one. It's still blasting out certain folks in the line of fire and I'd like to point it a little more at the ceiling, or better yet, choose my angle at each gig depending on the situation. The price was great, and at least I can access my dials now without bending over or using a chair.

Really Great Stand!

By Carlton

from Longboat Key, FL

This is easily the the best amp stand for the money I think a person will find. Got mine on sale, with an additional $10 coupon, for $20 - including shipping. Extremely well constructed heavy duty steel with a really nice finish and idiot-proof to assemble (right up my alley). Also offers 3 easy height adjustments via the side mounted spring-loaded snap pins. Supports up to 150lb loads. This thing is rock solid. Buy one now, you *WILL NOT REGRET* owning this stand!

Excellent stand

By mark

from elmwood park, il

I have a Fender Frontman 25R Guitar Amp(20 pounds) and it fits perfectly on this stand. Not only is the amp at the perfect angle(slight tilt) and height, it looks totally cool. This stand can handle a larger amp, but this sized amp looks perfect on it.

GREAT STAND FOR THE PRICE

By Jack

from Cherry Hill, NJ

I use the stand for my smaller amps35 - 45 pounds. It works fine. I had a $10 gift card, so the stand only cost me $11 + change including shipping. Even at $20, it is well worth it.

I'd give it 6 stars if I could

By DONALD

Much more than a "get it off the floor" stand. This is a super sturdy piece of equipment. Just the correct amount of tilt and it gets the controls closer to eye level. I use it for my Peavey Vyper and my Fender Twin without problems. Buy one.

So Far it's a good deal

By Ben Albrecht

from Liberty Lake, WA

Only had it a week or so, but it has held every amp I put on it, from a Hog 30 to an old Marshall Acoustic Soloist. The Hog just fit across the arms. Seems sturdy enough, time will tell. Gets the sound up where it can be heard, and gets the controls up where they can be reached without undue bending. The open space underneath is nice for stacking stuff, it's a small room!

Stands up to my requirements

By Steven Comeau

from Fanwood, NJ

This stand totally satisfies my needs to raise up and tilt back my little AER Compact 60 amp. I love my Compact 60, but I've never been happy that AER only provides a speaker stand mounting point. I wanted a simple way to at least tilt back the amp at an angle. I kludged together a tiltback using microphone stand parts. But installing and uninstalling that kludge was always a hassle. And, I still had to set the amp on a box or low table. This stand gives me the tilt back and the height is perfect for making on the fly adjustments. Setup and tear down is fast and simple. The stand is well made and sturdy. Also, it packs into the car nicely.

Easy set up, sturdy, works as advertised

By Donald Diamond

from Tucson, AZ

I'm a persnickety older guy, and usually don't rate high unless the product is exceptional, so this is one of those exceptional products. I got this stand for my Vox AD15VT Valvetronix amp, which is 16.5" wide, 14" tall, and 9 inches deep. The way I have my stand configured, there is still 4" of bottom arms jutting out from underneath the amp, so I can stow looped cords on it - meaning it will fit an amp at least 13" deep without any overhang. The arms are also just wide enough to fit underneath between the rubber feet on the bottom of the amp. The holding arms are spread about 12" from outer edges, and there is a 9" gap between them (NOT adjustable), so you could fit a much smaller amp than mine on it (or put down a piece of plywood to fit an even smaller amp) -- an amp minimum width of 11" would work fine, IMO. I have it adjusted all the way up, so the back bottom corner of my amp is 24" off the deck, which puts the speaker about waist high for me. If you have a taller amp, you can flip the arms to accommodate it, but your amp's back corner will sit just an inch or so lower than my setup. The stand is very solid and sturdy, the locking pins are fairly heavy duty (about 3/8" diameter) doesn't rock under load, and definitely not cheaply made. I was kind of holding my breath, hoping that the lower price didn't also mean badly designed or built. NOPE. I'm impressed. This stand doesn't rattle at full volume on my rig, either. Its a goodie at a great price... grab it!

Useful and Good Value @ $19.99

By john zarnowski

from Allentown, PA

The Good: Very useful accessory. When playing out or just jamming with other people, it greatly improves the voice of your amp by getting it off the floor and at a height/angle which allows the sound to permeate the room instead of being muffled by carpeting or other floor-level objects. It also allows for more comfortable and accessible manipulation of your amp controls as you do not have to bend and hunt for your controls while playing. Even when not using the amp, having it off of the floor on this stand reduces dust and dirt accumulation. Constructed of durable, black powder-coated metal with stable weld points. The not-so-good: Agreeing with other reviews, I also found it a bit 'tippy', but stability is improved if you reverse the L-brackets which cradle the amp; having the larger brackets on the bottom. However, if you have an open-back amp, this may create problems as the legs need to 'rest' on the back of the amp. 1st set up with my amp (Vox AC15), there was a noticeable rocking back and forth, indicating misalignment somewhere. Turns out that the contact points of the front right and back left platform bars (contacting the floor) were about 3/8" higher than the opposing corners. When I collapsed the unit, I found that the 2 sections were about 1/2" out of allignment. This necessitated having to use duct tape to "build up" the contact points to get them even with the other corners. Not a big deal, but not something you want to have to do on a straight out-of-the-box item. The Verdict: A durable, useful must-buy at $19.99. But I would have passed on this item if the price was still $80.00. 5-stars at current price. 3 stars at $80.00. I split the difference and give it 4-stars.
