Great stand at a good price. This stand is very stable and simple in design. I have one for each of my acoustics. Works great with guitar in or out of a gig bag. I stored my six string acoustic on one of these with guitar in a gig bag for two years untouched. When I decided to play the six, it came out of the bag perfect and still in tune. Protect your hard earned instruments on one of these stands and never regret.

I ordered two of these stands for an upcoming tour...I figured, eh for 10 bucks, a simple design, how bad can it be? Well, let me tell you, I was so wrong... This stand comes with a sign on it that says "Not Intended for Guitars With Nitro Cellulous Lacquer FInish"..Guess what nearly 100% of the guitars sold by Guitar Center (or anywhere for that matter) are finished with? Yep, you guessed it...Nitro Cellulous Lacquer Finish!! That's like selling car rims that are not intended for rubber tires. Also, the piece that the back of your guitar rests on is a hard plastic. Not even remotely soft at all like any other stand in the world. I truly believe a guitar is just as safe laying on it's back on a hard floor. Yes, really. I mean, yes it's only ten bucks, but come on! Trust me, do not buy this, spend the extra couple dollars and get the "OnStage" brand A frame stand. I called GC's customer service, and the girl I spoke to was very nice and took care of me, So customer service gets 5 stars.. PS: I don't usually write reviews of products, but my mind is so blown by how useless this product is that I had to warn others.

Sturdy, folds vertically*, affordable. *It would be even better if the padded rests folded up also.
You won't beat this stand for the money. Period. Just go to a hobby/arts & crafts store and buy an 8+1/2x11in. sheet of black adhesive back felt. It'll be about a dollar -- no kidding. Then cut legthwise into one in. strips, peel off back, and stick on all contact points. You'll have enough to do maybe four stands, and the guitar's finish will be safe. For a dollar's worth of felt, you won't beat this stand. I bought one, did the felt thing, and then bought another. I likes these acoustic stands 'cause I matched them with my archtops, and they fit fine !!
This stand flat out works for me. It is light, compact, easy to transport and a great value.
Got a couple of these and a couple of the other type - just to keep from having to lean my acoustic guitars against the wall. Was very surprised at the quality, functionality and weight - works perfectly - and you can't beat the price.
I ordered two of these for my two Taylors. Gotta say I love them already. They fold up small enogh to carry to practice and set back up when I arrive back home. no worries no issues. I read all 15 reviews before putting my thoughts on this. I noticed that 2 reviews out of 15 were less than positive. positive. The GC site for this product said not for use w/nitro finishes...fortunately, my Taylors don't have that, and my guitars that do have their own stands. Another person said that his guitar slipped off his while at church..It is possible that he was trying to put an acoustic on an electric stand or vice versa?
This stand is complete junk. Yeah sure I mean it's 10 bucks, but its worth maybe a dollar. Tonight I was using this stand at my church and while I was getting ready to help lead worship my guitar slipped off the side and broke. This stand will not work if you have an acoustic guitar.
don't listen to any negative reviews. pull the trigger on this one now.
I am a new guitar owner and I find this stand very nice. It is very sturdy. I really don't have much to compare it to, but for the price it is much nicer than I expected.
As a beginner, I was pleased to find a stand for my acoustic that wouldn't cost a lot, but would keep my guitar safer than balancing it along a wall! This stand works very well, easy to set up, and sturdy. Would say that I was very pleased with this purchase from Guitar Center through every step of the way!
This product is ok. I'm not a serious guitar player & just wanted a small stand for in the corner of my small bedroom. When I took the stand out of the box, opened it, and put my guitar on it, my guitar fell over! One of the legs was severely crooked. Since it was so cheap, I just bent it back to a somewhat level position and it now works. Other than the crooked leg, it works exactly the way I was expecting.
