Excellent Doublebass Book

I purchased this book not too long ago and I love it. I have only worked through the beginning of the book and I can already see great improvement in my double and single bass playing. I have thumbed through the book and I saw a great deal of technical exercises, so this book will definately suit even the advanced drummers out there. The key to working with this book is working with a metronome. You can work without it but having the consistent click in the background is very beneficial. Start out at a slow comfortable tempo and then gradually work your way up. You'll soon see that your chops with greatly improve in just a matter of weeks. I'm a very busy person during the week and I only get a chance to practice on a really kit with my band on the weekends. I have set up a small space in my room with a double pedal with a pillow and a practice pad and I just work my way through these exercises. I used to have trouble playin on that Friday night because of the long week of no playing. But now I'll work with this book on my lunch break or in between work and school and come friday, I'm doing better than I did the previous weekend. I highly recommend this book to any beginning and novice drummers out there trying to improve double bass technique. You definately won't be disappointed.
