I really didn't expect this stand to be so RED. Their were no nicks, dents, or scratchs in the product. It assembled easily. The problem is at the sheet music assembly to the stand, they actually put some type of teflon or plastic washer as a contact surface. Get real designers. This connection should have FRICTION so as to be stable in the position/angle where it is set. It might be fine if you are only putting a couple of pieces of sheet music on it, but if you put a music book with a little weight it tends to change to a more vertical angle. I had to add a metal washer to solve this situation. I wouldn't buy another.
I bought this stand a couple of weeks ago. It is very RED, difficult to see the wood grain. Kind of flimsy. I had to use an abrasive where the top section bolts to the upright to keep it in position using a heavy music book. I would not recommend this product.
When I first put my music stand together I was thrilled. I loved the color, but it is not very sturdy. The legs are crooked and I can't seem to get the music to stay in place. The top tends to tip and I've tightened it as much as I can. I guess I wish I'd seen it before I ordered it.
