This practical, height-adjustable, near-field monitor stand is equipped with a stable 3-point triangular base with leveling floor spikes. The stand's heavy-duty vertical shaft is height adjustable from 34-5/8" to 61-7/16" and has safety holes with locking pins for maximum security. Welded steel construction. I have four SMS-6000 Monitor Stands for a quad setup in my home studio, as well as another four for remote use. These stands are very versatile, allowing a variety of heights that lock with a pin. They hold heavy monitors (I've used them with Genelec 1031As and Mackie 824s with no issues). Every once in a while the screws need to be tightened, but other than that, they are stable.
I couldn't tell how bad I needed moniter stands for my home studio . Everything sounded muffled . I decided on the SMS- 6000 b/c of the height adjustment and quality triangle feet . I dj and produce my own music and its great for quick rotation between the two. I can move the moniters 360 degrees without moving the stands. Everything now sounds fantastic. Should have done it sooner.
For the money, this is a steal. The buy 1 get 1 free offer is great. The stands are built well,strong metal construction. Includes spikes for better stability on carpet.For the price, you can't go wrong. Planning on getting another pair!
