This mic stand is really good especially if you're a beginner looking for something cheap. Its really easy to get it in the right position. The stand is a little shaky but for the price you probably won't find anything better. I would definitely recommend it for everyone.
I got a pair of MS-220s with the BX-5/MXL package, and I am very pleased with these stands. They are light, stable, well finished and will serve me well in my home studio. I probably wouldn't want to take them on the road 200 days a year, and if I was holding up a U-87 or some such, I would probably want, and could justify, something more heavy duty.
Exactly what we needed for a video game. A cheap sturdy stand to let you sing while you played drums or guitar. Don't forget to pick up a mic clip with it to fit your mic. The kids think it is awesome.
