This stand adjusts from 9" to 13" high and fits standard microphone clips. Die-cast base.
Small and solid. Nothing bad to say. I'm going to end up buying a desktop boom stand, but for a standard small mic stand, this one does the trick. I use mine on my desktop for podcasting, but this could easily be used to mic a half stack or something like that. It's even got a nifty little clip to keep your mic cable out of your way.

I use this for my SM57 when I mic smaller amps. It's pretty stable and when extended all the way, it's about a foot high.

It's the perfect size and weight for mic'ing a kick drum, a guitar amp or holding a shotgun mic (a shotgun this low is perfect to set off stage to pick up tap-dance). It is definitely heavy enough to hold any mic that I can think of. I paired this up with On-Stage Stands MSA-8020 Boom Microphone Stand (#451006) to get a perfect little short boom combination at a much better price than any of the combos available.

I thought these mic stands would be a standard size, so I was shocked when I received this and I can't connect the shock mount from my Behringer B-2 Pro. The top of the stand I received does not look quite like the one in the picture - maybe it's missing a part, I don't know - just waiting for Guitar Center tech support to help.

This stand works just fine. It does what is supposed to do. The little clip to hold the cable is very useful as it keeps the cable from annoying you. I used this stand for home recording and live playing and is hard to knock it down. Bottom line, it works fine..
