This Lo-Z cable bundle from Musicians Gear contains 10 - 20' male-female XLR microphone cables. These black PVC-covered cables feature a 12-strand copper conductor and 64-strand copper-coated aluminum shield, giving you great noise protection that won't break the bank.
These cables are good sounding and inexpensive in the 10-pack. We use them for live sound every weekend and they perform well. If one does come up bad, it gets thrown out and replaced without to much heartache. Good product for the price.
I purchased 20 XLR Microphone cables and at the begining they work fine, but after a couple of conferences I did (I always treat the cables very gently and wrap them properly ), they started failing one after the other. I have never had so many problems with cables in my entire life before. If you need to buy a cable just for a couple of uses, then it's OK, If not. Buy quality cables since at the end you will save money.
First impression when I received my cables was the smooth easy to roll feel to the cables, unlike other stiff harder jacket cables. The terminals are nothing fancy but do the job fine and connect/disconnect without difficulty as well as stay put once connected. I am using them in my home recording studio to mic my acoustic drum kit, they go from the kit to a Presonus Studiolive 16.0.2, I have not have any problems with the cables at all on this setting, another note is they don't add any hum or noise to my set up, 2 of the cables connect condenser overhead mics with 48W power, again, no problems. I can not attest to longevity or live gig situation use for this cables, but they feel well made, for the money, short of buying bulk cable, terminals and making your own, this are a bargain...
