I got several of these cables with a mic stage kit that looked like a great deal online. I soon discovered; however, that these cables are totally worthless. While the mics and stands were both passable, the cables just drove me insane. They are very low quality in every aspect. Sound quality is less optimal than with, say, a Livewire cable (which I use now) and they just don't hold up. Within literally two weeks I had one cable go out and the other was out within another week. After that, I went and bought 2 more because they are cheaper and like many people on a budget. Same thing. Finally I just went and bought a few Livewires and six months later have not had one go out, and, if they do, all I have to do is take them back to Guitar Center and they will replace them. End point, no matter your budget, don't settle for these cables. Save up for an extra week or two and get a $30-$40 cable that's replaceable and better made.
I owned one of these for 3 months and it started to short out on me and I treated it well. I wouldn't recomend this cable to even my mortal enemies.
I use these cables to patch microphone splitters and outboard preamps into my multichannel recorder. they are great for this and are transparent.
