I recieved the hardshell harmonica case about three weeks ago. This is a quality case for the money. It has plenty room for two eighteen foot mic cables, mic and delay pedal. The harmonicas that are placed on the bottom tray do not roll around.I placed foam rubber on the top tray cut out five slots and placed my harmonicas in the slots, they do not roll around. The lock is fair. The most important thing, this is a good harmonica case.

For the money, this is a nice case, not perfect, but very nice. Even if you remove the trays and keep the harmonicas in their cases, you can still easily carry 14 harmonicas in the right compartment alone - double stacked. That still leaves ample room for a bullet microphone and cable and 8 more harmonicas in the larger compartment. That still leaves the smaller compartment for wipe off cloths or other small items, or more harmonicas. The latch and lock are okay, but not the best. When the case arrived, I noticed the lid was a little sprung and does not close tight on the right front corner. But again, for the cost, overall it is a real nice case. If you want to spend more and get a double latched case, you can, but why? I would say, try this one first. Then if you find yourself using it a lot and it begins to wear out, then think about upgrading to the next level. But for most, this one will do just fine. And so far, it even withstands the grandchildren. Happy Harping

  • Good Case for the Money

As reviewed by Floyd Marsh on 3/19/2009

Received this case just a few days ago and immediately felt the quality was good for the money. Harps fit without their boxes and could bang around if the case is not full. Maybe a piece of foam rubber or a cleaning cloth could cushion them. Individual harp compartments would help if they were available.
