  This is a horrible recession, soo I am on a budget. I was surprised when I played at church with these strings. They sound real good. They are very punchy and bright sounding. They sound great for thump playing. They keep the new string tone for a long time. Sometimes expensive strings don't do that. I recommend these to those on a budget or not.

  I needed a cheap set of strings. I had used the 4 string set before and they were great. This set out of the package the d sounded dead. I put them on before a show and within the first half of the show my fingers were BLACK. Something was coming off the strings onto my fingers. Okay well I cleaned the strings with string cleaner and no more black stuff. The very next show broke the A string. It might have been just that set. I have another set to try. We shall see.

• perfect string at the perfect price

  i bought these because i was strapped for cassh at the time an need new strings. i ordered two sets incase i broke one of them while playing or over tuning again. when they arived in the mail i quickly put them on my fie string bass an they sounded greaat. i would recomend these to anyone on a budget or low on money. only opne downside they make your fingers smell alittle funny but it washes right off when you rinse your hands off other then that they're perfect.
