While our Deluxe Electric Bass Gig Bag is designed first and foremost to protect your instrument, it's also built to be stylish and durable. It has backpack straps for easy transport and is made with ballistic nylon and 10mm foam padding to protect your bass guitar. The bass gig bag also has a zippered pouch for carrying extra strings, tuner, picks, etc.
I bought this bag to use for my main bass. It is absolutely the perfect bag for me. The padding is great and the pockets all come in very handy. It is a roomy bag that closes perfectly on your bass and protects it very well. I also carry pedals, tuners, straps, cables, books, and much more in the pockets all at the same time. This bag will hold up and is easily worth the money.
First off - almost any bass will fit in this bag. Standard Jazz and Precisions will fit, no problem. I have an Epiphone Ripper which is a very large bodied, large headstock bass and it barely fits, but it fits. Room to spare for any "normal sized" bass. The straps that form the handle go all the way around the bag. This is a very good thing. The weight of the bass is carried by the straps vs. the seams of the bag like so many other bags. The padding is good. Not exceptional, but more than decent. Pocket/storage space is also good and quite useful. The bag is a little "floppy." Don't expect to have the bag standing upright while you try to get the bass in there. It's not happening. You'll have to lay the bag down while fitting the bass inside. Not really a ding, just FYI. This bag is a good value at stock price, but a great value when on sale or if you have a coupon. There are better bags out there (not necessarily the $400 leather ones either). But for 3x the price, you don't really get a bag 3x better. I have a Gator bag that I paid roughly 2x what this one cost. The padding is better and the bag will stand up while putting the bass inside, but that's about it, really. I bought this bag to store/transport my least expensive bass, but would be comfortable with any of my basses inside it. Highly recommended.
This bag has nice padding, great shoulder straps (much easier on the back!), and nice little pockets for everything from tuner to strings to picks. Great deal for the money.
