These deluxe cases for bass guitar are built road-tough with 5-ply cross-laminate wood construction, plush interior lining, heavy-duty hardware, interior accessory compartment, and locking fasteners.
This case is better than most bags, although not as sturdy as a Fender case. Good storage inside the case. A Jazz bass will fit. We play twice a week.
I think these cases are good cheap protection while your bass or large-body guitar sits in a closet or under the bed. They do a nice job of plain protection and keeping the neck clamped while in case. However, these (along with their guitar case cousins including the "vintage" suede-looking ones) have a major design flaw: The neck indentation is made from a softer foam. Over a short period of time, the neck will widen and deepen the neck indentation. With this sagging indentation, your bass will flop around in the case. A lot. The bass will slide with the headstock often actually coming into contact with the sides of the case. In summary: it does a good job keeping the dust off and is great for under the bed or in the closet standing on end. It does not do well at all with a case that gets carried around a lot. It also doesn't do well if you store your guitar cases on their back edge.
pretty good case.my vintage modified jaguar bass fits perfect in it. looks cool with the soft red inside with the tweed color. good for storing. the only flaw was that the guitar moves around in the case. every time i pick it up and opean it its always off the rest and on the side of the case. i fixed this problem by adding a leather strap next to the rest so that it keeps it in the rest. other than that its a good case.4 stars.
