The Muriel Anderson: Innovations for Acoustic Guitar instructional DVD is a comprehensive study program for intermediate and advanced finger-style guitar players. Her guitar lessons guide you through essential theory, playing techniques, and other tricks of the trade to enhance the guitarist's performance, arranging, and composition skills.

Using several of her own compositions as lesson examples ("Arioso," "Mister Chester," "Two Shores," "A Baker's Dozen." and Muriel's highly popular "Angelina Baker Medley"), Innovations for Acoustic Guitar reveals a variety of Muriel's signature techniques and approaches for generating new ideas and fresh arrangements or compositions. Her guitar tutorials will teach you how to flavor your arrangements with a variety of harmonic techniques including Irish and Cuban influences and odd time signatures. You'll also learn how to develop a theme, play expressively and imitate the sounds of a banjo, mandolin, and bass. Muriel also demonstrates how to connect notes in a rhythmic tune in the classic style of Chet Atkins.

Muriel Anderson was the first woman to win the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship and was also awarded a bronze level for classical in the 2009 Acoustic Guitar Magazine's Players Choice poll. She has been composing since the age of six and has published works for guitar, orchestra, voice, and solo guitar, and tours extensively. She is also the founder and director of Music for Life Alliance charity, and is the host of "Muriel Anderson's All Star Guitar Night."
