I've been playing bass now for just about 10 years and my stingray has been my go to bass for most of those years now. The bass can be played in any style of music, hard rock, jazz, funk, anything you need it to do it can. I've tour with my stingray many many times and it can take a beating and still just keep going. I have both the single pick up and the dual pick up models and they are both just amazing. The dual pick up models offer a vast array of tones and with the pick up selector you can change back and fourth so easily. I would highly suggest a stingray to anyone that is serious about playing bass, and wants a bass that sounds amazing without breaking the bank.
Picked one of these up at the local store. Never tried one before but used to have a standard Stingray and didn't like the neck. Someone really thought of the right thing to do when they put this smaller neck on the standard Stingray. Needed a set-up and that's about it. Plays wonderfully and nothing else gets quite that tone.
As a long time musician and as a long time bassist, I have owned and played dozens of amazing basses, and this is one of my favorites. This bass' unique 3-way pick-up toggle switch allows for maximum playability, giving the user an amazing range in variety of music able to be played. I highly recommend this bass to anyone who is looking to further their skills and wants to rock out on an amazing instrument.
