The StingRay armed with dual humbuckers.

Few basses are as flat-out cool or have as much powerful tone as the famous StingRay. When it was introduced in 1976, it was the first bass to feature active electronics and advances such as a 6-bolt neck joint, contoured body, superior neck truss rod system, and rock-solid bridge to keep it on top of the pack. Constructed with a select hardwood body, maple neck, Schaller BM tuners, and 3-band active EQ, this version features dual MusicMan humbucking pickups with 5-way switching for an even greater range of sound. Includes hardshell case.

Music Man StingRay HH 4-String Bass Features:

  • 2 massive humbucking pickups with 5-way switching and 5-band active preamp
  • Select hardwood body
  • Maple neck
  • Schaller BM tapered-post tuners
  • Volume, treble, bass controls

Great tone. NOT the same as single PU

I got this about 6 months ago and it's been great. Yes, you can get the single MM PU sound if you want, but with the coil taping options and the EQ, you can sculpt the tone anyway you want. Anyone that says the neck pick-up doesn't make a difference hasn't played this for any amount of time. You can get tones that sound JUST like a Stingray, and then tones that approach other basses and then totally unique, warm, thumpy tones that just rock. Honestly, I rarely use position 1 with the coil taps and usually have it either on 2 or 5. It's the perfect bass for me.

Lee, Myung....this bass can do all

No matter what your style, no matter how fast or technical your playing, this bass can cover you. The tonal variety is simply astounding. Even a low-end amp will sound good with this baby plugged in. 3 Way EQ plus Double Musicman humbuckers = monster of maddness. From Geddy Lee to John Myung, this bass can match their master tones, and even has many of its own. After all, it is a Musicman, and as a ba
