Few basses are as flat-out cool or have as much powerful tone as the famous StingRay. When it was introduced in 1976, it was the first bass to feature active electronics and advances such as a 6-bolt neck joint, contoured body, superior neck truss rod system, and rock-solid bridge to keep it on top of the pack. Constructed with a select hardwood body, maple neck, Schaller BM tuners, and 3-band active EQ, this version features dual Music Man humbucking pickups with 5-way switching for an even greater range of sound. Includes hardshell case.

I wanted to leave a review cuz I read the one that the guy said there is no difference between this model with the dual humbuckers and the single humbucker. I don't believe he's spent much time playing this model cuz this has every tone imaginable. I've played them all from Gibsons to fenders to Ibanez to schecters to warwicks and this hands down beats them all! What does it is the tones it produces. It's absolutely amazing. Running the bridge pickup you get classic Stngray sound but switch it up a position splitting the outside coils and it sounds like a Fender Jazz. Move it to the middle position and run both humbuckers together and it will Rattle your windows like an Ibanez with Bartolini pickups. Move it one one position and it splits the middle coils and it sounds just like a Gibson thunderbird. Then the final position runs the neck humbucker and it has a sweet tone! If you have the money don't even hesitate on buying this. It's hands down the best Bass I've ever played.
Excellent construction from heavy-duty parts, a neck that's one of the fastest and smoothest out there, and a meaty, grunty bottom end combined with unmistakeable MusicMan funky highs. The variety of sounds with the new dual pickups and five-position selector switch make this my fave bass, period. They should have done this years ago.
This bass is incredible. It not only looks totally sweet but can pump out any tone imaginable. There is a HUGE difference between this and the single humbucker, so don't listen to anybody who says there isn't. It is an absolutely incredible bass.
