This is the Bass for You and ME
If you are new to the bass, look no further. If you are a great Bass player, look no further. This bass is great for anyone. I realize that the price is over $1000 however if you think about it you will never have to pay for anything else. This bass can and will last you for the rest of your life! If you want a bass that can play great walking Bass line, Slap, Pop, and has such a versatile neck that is great for anyone looking to play the bass fast or slow, then this is the Bass for you. I have owned it for 4 years, and it beats my other four basses by a mile. What really made me interested in this bass was when I played it at guitar center. I was looking for a Fender Jazz and came across this thing. I never even picked up the FENDER. The pickups on this thing are great for a low tone or a high soloing tone. I love how Ernie Ball chose to stick the pickups lower on the Bass as oppose to in the middle of the pick guard, like other Basses. This allows for an easier time slapping. If you are debating on whether to get the Rosewood neck or the Maple, let me explain what they do. The Rosewood is great for someone looking to play sweet walking bass lines and have that really crisp low tone. The maple is more for someone who is looking to solo, or slap with a higher tone. Another reason to get this Bass is because it is made in California, and has many color options. Every bassist I know has a sun burst Fender Jazz. Because there are so many colors for this thing, you wont look like everyone else on the block. The wood on this is top notch and the hardware could not be better.

You wouldn't want anything else...
I bought this bass, after no basses offered all the tones I wanted. The eq on this thing is amazing, I can go from a punchy, light sound, to a booming, low sound - all through a 10 watt amplifier. I use a Gallien-Krueger 700RB Full Stack, and these 2 go together great, no fret buzz or anything. When I took this thing out of the box, everything was PERFECT. The battery hasn't died on me yet, but I do keep a few spares.
The finish, however seems to get damaged easily, U accidentally walked into a wall and it hit the side, and there's an unattractive mark on it now. It's also quite heavy, about 10lbs, so I suggest a wide strap.
But, this is like an all in one bass.

Could it get any better?
Good quality bass guitars are few and far between these days. But this thing is THE best quality 4-string bass guitar I have ever, and will ever own. From the high quality flawless paint finish, and the awesome woods used, to the best electronics usually found in higher priced basses. Basically you can't go wrong if you purchase this bass. Ask anyone who owns one, there is nothing like playing one of these basses, and they only get better with time.

Lots of Punch and Power
Let it be known that this bass has some serious power. The on-board active EQ is very cool and lets you fine tune your tone right from the bass. The neck is fatter than a Fender J which is good for people with larger hand, you wont have to cramp your fingers. one thing i like most about the bass is that you can get a very sharp tone that cuts through the mix of distorded guitars in rock music easily. this bass is not subtle by any means (although it can be tweaked for a smoother sound). I get a lot of enjoyment out of this intrument and I know if you are looking for a bass that wont be lost behind roaring guitars and drums, this baby is worth a try. I play the 3-band EQ version through a hartke 3500 head and amped 6-10'' cab. I keep the Graphic EQ on the amp flat while i cut the treble a hair/Boost mids/Boost Bass on the intrument and i run that tone all night at shows. Check it out!

Wow!!!
I'm a guitar player turned bass. I have been playing bass for only a year in a band.I started on a fender jazz only because the neck was so thin.I had heard many good things about this bass so I went and tried one out. I fell in love with it right away. The maple neck is so comfortable and fast! slides are easy now and it has made me a better player over night!!!Sounds great too!! I'm a Toyota tech and I know quality when i see it and this bass is just that!

boooooooooooooM
this is what a bass was meant to be I love the way the sound resonates off the wood while I'm playing without an amp(true sign of a good guitar or bass) I dare ya compare a fender or any bass u can think of I'll take the musicman, I'm currently using an ampeg 806 SVT cab and I was gonna get a GK 800 RB used then I found the Gallien-Krueger Backline 600 I was blown away by the great tone I got out my rig and I'm positive my musicman is the key . OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH yeah I play multiple styles being a working musician My bass is as at home blasting through the biggest wall of rectos and marshalls as it is in country music. Only downside is I need another 1500 for my next one lol

Absolute Jem of a Bass!!
Most people associate this bass with slap, tapping funk music. Where this bass does excel in that genre, it also cranks as a rock bass. With a simple turn of the tone knob, it can produce earth shattering low tones. This bass rocks going through my Ampeg stack, but it also sounds great through my little crate practice amp. I own a sweet Music Man Stingray, and a American Jazz bass. I will never need to purchase another bass as long as I play. I would recommend this bass to anyone.
