  • Incredible!

As reviewed by Phil on 2/18/2010

It took some time, but I finally got one of these in red with matching painted headstock and musicman locking trem. Don't worry about the switching system, you'll get that down in a couple of days. What an instrument! Very unique tone, the neck is an absolute work of art. The body has no contour, it doesn't get "lost" in your body when you strap it on. Gritty, twangy, smooth almost vocal are all words to describe the dimarzio pickups. Harmonics are outstanding! Play any style, you will have a unique tone that you will love! Steve still plays #1 with the steve morse band and deep purple. You will find out why. No disappointment, no regrets.

  • Steve Morse Signature Guitar

As reviewed by ScadThing on 10/23/2006

I bought this guitar last year. The version I bought has the Floyd Rose tremolo. This is the best guitar I have ever played. The neck is extremely fast. The range of tones is as good as I have found on any guitar, if not better. While the 12 combinations of switches (two toggle switches and one three-way switch) may appear intimidating, it took me one day to learn how to use all combinations due to the logic of the switching combinations. By comparison, the multiple pickup Fender Strats are a nightmare to figure out. The only detracting feature is the Floyd Rose tremolo. This causes undesirable string noise when I do heavy string bending at higher frets. I am planning to buy a second Morse with fixed bridge, but will keep the tremolo version.

  • The most Versatile guitar

As reviewed by Guitarman97006 on 9/13/2006

I had been looking for a guitar I could use that had both the single coil and humbucker sound in one package, this is it. I play a wide range of music and this guitar can get all the sounds. I have one with a Floyd fitted. This is my number one guitar and I liked it so much I ordered a secon, the Y2D this time. If you want versatility look no further.
