The 5-string MusicMan Sterling is an electruc bass with a shape similar to the StingRay bass. The Sterling bass is shorter and narrower, while the neck remains basically the same. The MusicMan Sterling also features hot-rodded electronics: active 3-band preamp, a MusicMan humbucker pickup with hum canceling phantom coil, and unique 3-way switching (both coils in series mode, single coil, and both coils in parallel mode). I just bought one today and am thrilled with my purchase. Its a really fun bass for all around playing. I play through a markbass rig and it sounds stellar!
i dont think theres any other good music man bass than this one. yea it only has one pickup but it sounds amazing. Plus i can get around the neck very smoothly. The preamp controls can also make it very awesome!
