I love this bass. The eq knobs are very sensitive. When I want to dial in different tones, its so easy and so versatile. i love the deep funky sounds it can make. The only problem i have with the bass is the neck has a satin finish. My hands tend to sweat alot, so the grime builds up pretty easily. I need to constantly wipe the neck down during breaks. After playing for a few months more, it doesn't get as grimy as quickly.

  • Most Diverse Bass Sounds Ever!

As reviewed by Convivial1 on 12/9/2008

I just bought one this weekend and WOW!!! I have always been a Stingray fan because of how punchy they sound. I got a deal on this bass. It sounds like the Singray, then I can change pickup blend and get a P-Bass or Warwick sound. Truthfully I set the blend in the middle and the EQ flat on the bass and on my Eden preamp and it sounds better than anything I have ever heard. Did I mention WOW!!!

  • Well Worth the Price

If you want a bass with lots of eq involved, excellent onboard preamp, and awesome pickups look no further. Yes, the shape is a little aerodynamic looking and it feels that way too. The paint is ultra shiny. But this bass is so smooth from the neck to body. It is very light weight. You will be suprised if you pick one up like me in the store and play it (before I bought it). It has a really nice feel standing which is usually more difficult to find in a bass. The sound is hard to describe but it's like a standard musicman bass (stingray or sterling) on steroids. But it also has excellent tone and definition with more punch. It has more punch than its brothers the sterling/stingray because it has 2 batteries to power the electronics. It seems like the pickups are stonger too. And nobody wants weak pickups on a bass. The Eq on it is easy to use and only adds to all the different tones you can get with it. And... The only problem with it is all the batteries you'll be using on it. The pickups soak up batteries. Blast the Bass!!!
