I recommend you to try this guitar before buying any other guitar. I went to chicago guitar center to buy a Fender Custom Shop. I've tried 4 and found a 60's NOS the great one. So, I saw a MM super axis with tremolo and decided to try it. The neck is amazing, the action is excelent and the sound was incredible! I like fenders (I own one strato and one tele 52) but this axis will become my first guitar.

Well, I had to get rid of the Fenders. They were collecting too much dust. My new Axis S.S. is now the only guitar I own. It's like having two guitars in one. I can now play everything from twangy country to Metallica with the same guitar! The birdseye maple neck is unbelievable. I've owned Fenders, Gibsons and a PRS and this Axis plays better than any of them. Also, I like the easy to string vintage tremolo and locking Schaller pearl tuners. If any guitar ever deserved a 5 star rating, this is it.

I bought one of these 8 months or so ago. I have a hard time putting it down after rehearsal. It has that EVH look without the trem. I have big hands so it has taken a little time getting used to the closer frets on the board, but the sound can't be beat. The neck feels like I have been playing it for years, that broken in feeling. I have had many guitars over the years, I have kept a select few, this ones a keeper!

This is one great playing, looking, and sounding guitar. I can't put it down. I always considered myself a strat guy that needed the Gibson bridge pup sound at times, well I will be looking no further. This guitar delivers in spades. The neck pup is very sweet sounding and does a Fender type thing very well, the bridge pup does the Gibson thing very well, and the in between coil split settings are very interesting with varying degrees of gain and volume knob adjustments. I have it all now!!
