Give your guitar instant polyphonic up-tuning in 1/2-step increments—plus Full Octave Up-Pitch and Octaver.

The Morpheus Capo guitar effects pedal lets you electronically capo your guitar and maintain perfect pitch. For example, play an E chord in standard tuning, then use the Capo pedal to up tune your guitar so the chord is changed to an F, F#, G, G#, A, Bb or B. In addition, the Capo pedal has Full Octave Up-Pitch and a great-sounding Octaver/12-string emulator that causes your 6-string to sound like a 12-string.

The Morpheus Capo guitar pedal also features effect-toggling so you can instantly toggle back and forth between the up pitch and the Effect Off for a cool up-/down-pitch-shift effect during rapid ascending/descending arpeggios and scale runs. Don't mistake this for a mere pitch shift stompbox. The Morpheus Capo pedal uses proprietary polyphonic pitch-up algorithms that maintain perfect harmonic accuracy and tonally correct overtones—you have to hear this pedal to believe how real it sounds.

With a cast metal chassis, solid positive-feeling steel step switches, and non-skid rubber feet, the Capo guitar pedal is solidly built for years of use and abuse. Includes LED indicators that are bright and easy to see.

  • Not for acoustic guitars

As reviewed by richard dickenson on 10/6/2011

I play a Dean Acoustic/electric for our praise team at church (our music consists of me and a Boss drum machine). We do contemporary Christian praise. Because our songs arn't in the same keys I use a capo quite often. MY thought was that this pedal would eliminate the need to change capo positions and reduce ware and tare on frets and eliminate the ever possible out of tune situation created by a mechanical capo. Enter the Morpheus capo pedal. I watched all the youtube videos and read all the reviews and decided to try it. I did and here's the results. If you plan to use this with an acoustic or acoustic/electric don't bother, it won't work. I bought one and followed the instructions to a tee and it sounded horrible (latency, doubling, hissing ect you name it it had it). It was clean without the capo effect on but with it on it sounded like a phaser/chorus gone crazy. Sent it back got another one. This time I noticed on the side of the box something that is not mentioned in the instructions or on the Morpheus web site. This pedal is intended for either and electric guitar or a FOAM DEADENED acoustic or acoustic/electric guitar or violin. So I'm writing this review to save you from wasting your time and the money to ship this product to you and back to the store again. It might work fine on an electric, but not on an acoustic. I do appreciate GC for allowing me to return it without a restock fee. Thanks guys.

  • Does what it says, just not very well.

I really wanted this to work out, but it ruins your tone, and it lags badly enough to completely screw up your timing. Don't believe the youtube demonstrations, you really have to play this thing to understand just how bad it is. Hopefully I can save you the trouble! It's a cool idea for dealing with multiple tunings, but it just isn't good enough.
