A MUST OWN.

A must have for any active musician, if not using this pedal as a wah, it can be used as a volume pedal. Good piece of equiptment.

I've had this pedal for awhile now. I'm not excited about the wah tone. Thought I was getting the modern version of the old chrome Morley wahs. This thing isn't even CLOSE in terms of tone. I don't use this pedal any more because I just don't like the wah tone. There's also a "Boost" dial that functions as a gain. It's kind of useless. It would be more useful if it functioned as a mix control. If you had control over the amount of wah in your signal path that would make this pedal suddenly pretty cool. As is, I'll pass, thank you.

Morley Power Wah / Volume

By Tate P.

from Kansas City, MO

Comments about Morley Power Wah Volume Pedal:

I wanted to purchase a volume pedal but I thought I might as well try to kill two birds with one pedal. The volume functions very well. The Wah side I'm not so sure. However, I am new to playing a Wah. At the top the Wah is very bright and the bottom very low and lacks tone. To my ear the sweet spot sounds good but is in a narrow range. So, little movement is really required to get the sound I was looking for. Due to my lack of experience with a Wah I'm not sure if this is good or bad. Summary, I'm happy with the Morley Power Wah / Volume pedal considering I started out looking for a volume pedal. So, the Wah is kind of a bonus that I can have some fun with.

Overall a good piece of equipment

By Jonathan Hooper

from Baton Rouge, La

Comments about Morley Power Wah Volume Pedal:

I got this pedal a while back and it works well for me. It feels nice and solid. When I first got it a plugged it in to my Fender Deluxe at my house it sounded like I lost a little bit of my tone in volume mode. When you switch to wah, it sounds great though. I have played one gig with it and when I had everything turned up I didn't notice anything. The wah sounds great for me but I can see how some people looking for a mellow wah sound could be upset with it because it is very potent.

Comments about Power Wah Volume Pedal:

This volume/wah pedal is great. Very smooth and it uses fiber optics so there's no worries about dust or crud getting into a pot. Fits on my pedal board nicely.

Decent, but there's better.

Comments about Morley Power Wah Volume Pedal:

If you just want an all in one and don't have any specific sounds in mind, its a nice pedal. If you've got a pedal board I highly recommend that you don't get this. I've found that I had to do a lot of modding to get the volume to swell and not be "on or off" and the wah really doesn't sound like a wah. I'd save your money and buy a Ernie Ball VPJr and a Cry Baby if you really want real volume effects and wah sound.

Great Value

By Alex

from North Charleston SC

Comments about Morley Power Wah Volume Pedal:

I give this product two thumbs up for value. You save yourself from having to buy a wah and volume pedal seperately. The pedal has a nice weight to it, and is very rugid. The amount of friction when pushing the pedal down is nice and smooth. The Volume range is great, but the wah tends to kick in a little bit late in the pedal when pushing down. The wah has a very high treble sound, almost too much, when pushed all the way forward but has a nice tone on the low end and middle range. One other thing you need to notice is the switch for changing between wah and volume, it is kinda small, but still accessible. I dont like having to focus in order to change between wah and voume. Overall the tone is OK for wah, it IS perfect for a volume pedal, playability is great, and the value of having a wah and volume in one is a great space and money saver.

MORLEY IS THE BEST.

By Richie Alan

from Staten Island N.Y.

Comments about Morley Power Wah Volume Pedal:

The Morley Power Wah Volume Pedal. Is the best Wha sound. The Volume is also Awesome because you can lower it to "0" And you can have a Steel Guitar sound. Great for Country Music. And the Wah for Blues and Rock! I have played with a Morley Pedal for 40 years! Richie Alan.

Rare dual-duty but could have been better.....

By Michael Magallanes

from Charlotte, NC

Comments about Morley Power Wah Volume Pedal:

Strengths: Dual duty - Wah and Volume, built like a tank, good sound in wah or volume mode, comfortable action, stable even on carpet, battery or adapter powered, quiet optical action...... Weaknesses: no uncolored tone in wah range, boost only works in wah mode......I wish that the wah would be transparent in the toe up position - would be easier to deal with. The fact that the boost knob only boosts in wah mode renders this feature useless - if you turn it up, the wah and volume pedal modes will be at different volume levels. Still, I'm keeping the 4 stars due to the strengths and especially for the dual modes which are missing from almost all other pedals I could find.
