Ok pedal

Comments about Mini Morley Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

Not a bad pedal. I just use it for dynamics and not effects. Wish it had a low volume setting so I don't have to worry about completely cutting off the volume.

Comments about Mini Morley Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

I play a lot of Royal Blood covers with my band, and this pedal sits in my pedalboard arrangement at the front of my "bass" signal chain. I use it to turn the bass guitar signal on and off. I previously used a Boss TU-3 to kill the signal, which meant: Click to turn bass on and click to turn bass off...that became too mentally intensive during solos where I could be turning the bass on and off 1-2 times in the same bar (measure)! That would be 2-4 clicks of a pedal while I'm trying to keep solid timing between right/left hand technique.

Anyway, this thing is solid, and I love the technology. When I first replaced the TU-3 on my board, I used a Dunlop Volume X, and it would pop/click anytime it was articulated. I could have replaced the pot, but I didn't want a pedal that needed pot replacements (what a hassle, especially since I'm running it through 100+ cycles per song, I wasn't sure how often I'd have to replace them).

Enter the Morley Mini Volume. No pots to get scratchy, small enough to fit in a single panel on my PedalPad MPS (the Dunlop took up two panels vertically), and robust enough to take the beating of cycling 100+ times in a song. Been using it close to two months now, and couldn't be happier. This pedal was PERFECT for my application, so I'm very grateful to Morley for making such an awesome product. If I'm playing Royal Blood songs, one of my feet is continuously working this pedal.

    Great Little Pedal

    By WILLAIM

Comments about Mini Morley Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought one used from GC and was expecting to have to ajust the sensors inside (based on some reviews I read) because I wanted one that I could do volume swells, but much to my delite it was'nt in need of adjusting, plus I like the fact that it did not take up a lot of room on my PB in fact I don't think I would have had the room for a bigger one! So, lets recap: great pedal !!!!!....

Buy This or Its Big Brother

    By SCOTT MACDONAL

Comments about Mini Morley Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

Never had an optical volume pedal. Wish I'd done this years ago. Number one benefit: easy to control volume swells! Two: space saver. I have the Gator Mega G Bone and the Morley mini allows me to place my Decimator (which I don't touch once it's set) behind the Morley on the board. I prefer the free floating optical to a tension or spring loaded volume pedal. I find the smaller size comfortable, but some of you may prefer the longer standard size if you do a lot of swells. I highly recommend this pedal.

    Small pedal, small price

    By SpankyPants

    from Baton Rouge, LA

Comments about Mini Morley Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

Like many people, I've been searching for a pedalboard-friendly alternative to large volume pedals. The MMV finally hit the shelves, and I pounced on it like white on rice in a cup of milk on a paper plate in a snow storm. Pros: It's made of metal. There are no fragile kevlar strings to break (Ernie Ball), and no plastic gears (BOSS, etc.) or pots to wear out or get scratchy. The moving parts (aka the important parts) are ALL steel, and the chassis is completely enclosed to prevent any further problems with pedal performance. The pedal operates on an audio/logarithmic -taper, meaning THIS PEDAL DOES SWELLS, unlike linear-taper pedals. IT'S SMALL! About as tall as a Boss twin pedal. Cons: It has to be powered for the opto-circuitry to work, but a simple daisy chain can fix this - no big deal. It's a bit wider than most volume pedals, but it's not as wide as I was fearing. It's definitely worth the height trade-off in my opinion. The jacks are on the SIDE instead of the top, which would have saved more horizontal space. The pedal is so small, the sweep seems to be a little shorter than other vol pedals. This means that you have to be a little more precise and smooth/slow if you want strong, even swells. The MMV is almost a perfect size for a much better price than most vol pedals. I've only had it a few weeks, but I'm very satisfied so far. It seems built to last, and as of now, I'd absolutely recommend this to a friend.

    Does its job.

    By Spencer

Comments about Mini Morley Volume Guitar Effects Pedal:

Hey if you ar looking for strictly a volume pedal and that's it for a pedal board look no further. It's not flashy and does cost a bundle either. (oh and it doesnt effect your tone either) I run this at the end of my effects pedal chain which consists of a Dunlop Crybaby and 8 Boss pedals.
