Product Information

All-analog performance synth incorporating virtually all of the functions of the original Minimoog plus modern enhancements.

With a solid ash fractal blue cabinet that flashes blue flecks when you get close and an electric blue backlit panel, the visuals of the Minimoog Voyager match its awesome sonic power. The original was produced from 1971 to 1984 and was featured in some of the greatest recordings of all time. Three ultra-stable oscillators, dual Moog filters, 4-stage analog envelope generators, flexible modulation buses, and much much more. The Voyager won a "Key Buy" award from Keyboard magazine, a "Platinum Award" from Future Music magazine, an "Excellence Award" from Music Tech magazine, a TEC award from Mix magazine, and the "2003 Editor's Choice award" from Electronic Musician magazine.

Large touch-surface controller with assignable parameters for each direction. This monophonic performance instrument has gutsy vintage sound and features a 44-note keyboard with pitch and mod wheels, MIDI I/O, and a buffer that holds two presets at a time. CV and gate inputs for additional modulation options with expression pedals or other voltage sources. Audio input and effects insert allow you to interface with other gear. Stereo analog outs and headphone outs plus BNC connector for optional gooseneck lamp. 128 easily modified presets modeled after sounds used by Rick Wakeman, Tony Banks, Keith Emerson, and others give you instant access to classic Moog tone plus modern bass and lead sounds.

The signal path starts with a bank of three wide-range, high-stability, voltage-controlled oscillators, one noise source, and one audio preamplifier for externally applied audio signals. The sound modifiers are two Moog-style' low-pass filters and one VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier). Modulation sources are two ADSR (Attack Decay Sustain Release) envelope generators and one multi-waveform LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator). Frequency, octave, and wave controls are married with a switch that syncs oscillators 1 and 2, frequency modulation of oscillator 1 by oscillator 3, drone function for oscillator 3, and a switch to lower oscillator 3 to the sub-audio range. Mixer module features five input level controls, five input switches, and external level LED. Filters module features choice of 2-pole or 4-pole response, cutoff control, spacing control, resonance control, and control of how much the filters open and close as you press different keys on the keyboard. Envelopes module features amount to filter control and envelope gate switch. LFO features rate control, sync selector, and rate LED. Modulation buses feature source, destination, and shaping selectors plus amount controls. MIDI capabilities include front panel storage and recall, control of front panel through MIDI, transmission of front-panel settings via MIDI, transmission and reception of keyboard data via MIDI, up- and downloading of banks of settings via MIDI, and updating of software via MIDI. The power supply accepts any power voltage from 100V to 240V.

Modern and retro at the same time. No keyboard rig is truly complete without it. Orday today.

A Retro Fit

Step back to the days when ELP, Pink Floyd, and Rush paved the road for the inquisitive listener. The Voyager connects with the NOW generation and those before that lighted the way. Ample knobs to tweak the most unique sound to filters that can shape our cravings, this piece has it all. For those "new" to the analog game, I suggest spending intimate time with this unit, while the experienced can truly appreciate the functions of ease that this unit brings. It is a must buy.

The best instrument in the world

Seriously, This is the best instrument in the world. The possibilities are nearly endless (esp when you add pedals and extensions) and the sound is unparalleled. I can't even describe how much more flexible this instrument is than most of the synth music that comes out now. It is a powerful and nuanced beauty of a machine. And above all, it is still handmade in the US, what an idea--quality goods made here, no way.
