Smooth action gives the Moog EP2 Expression Pedal the feel musicians need for precise, playable control. The heavy construction (2.55 lbs.) provides a solid feel as the pedal stays firmly underfoot. An external output level control adjusts the range of the pedal's effect; sweeping across the full or a limited spectrum.
Usage:
A foot controller designed to enhance the expressive capabilities of the Minimoog Voyager, Little Phatty, Moogerfoogers and more. Connect to a control voltage input on any of your Moog equipment, adjust the attenuator for desired range and start playing!
Application Suggestions:
Connect to the Rate control input of your MF-105 MuRF. Set Rate control in middle of desired range. Adjust attenuator for total range in toe position. Connect to the Frequency control input of the MF-102 Ring Modulator. Set Frequency control for minimum desired setting. Adjust the Moog pedal's attenuator for maximum desired setting in toe position.

I tried out a variety of pedals that were in stock before going ahead and ordering the Ep-2. I could have saved myself a lot of trouble by just getting it to begin with. I use it with the Mooger Fooger Low Pass Filter Cutoff. It's the only pedal I could find has a smooth sweep across any range that you set it at. Set it low and get really smooth electronica filter sweeps. Set it mid range and get a nice wah sound. Or, set the resonance up high and have a wild theremin-like sound that you can control with your feet.
Nice height, weight and size. Good sturdy construction. Could easily throw this through a car window, dust it off and get right back to jamming.
Worked right out of the box and has a adjustment knob so you can change the range of the unit right at your foot.
I use this to operate the Wah on my TC G-Force. All in all, very natural to use.
Bought this and was going to try others but decided just to by another one of these for the price. Now I have two! And more will come ...
I have tried a couple of "Cheaper" expression pedals with my mooogerfoogers, and found that the meager price savings were an absolute waste. The Roland EV-5 has very little range in comparison, for instance. The Ep-2 has recently been priced more affordably than when I first ordered them. I now own 5! I want at least 3 more!
I do have to tell you that there is one minor, but note-worthy flaw. They come with the bolts a little bit loose on the pedal so that it has a tendency to slip from the "heel" range, so just tighten it up a little with a socket wrench and you are absolutely set.
Also it takes the depth of every parameter on a moogerfooger from +-5 volts to +-5.7 volts. YOu can make dogs run in circles with a Ep-2 in the cutoff input on the Low Pass Filter!
