  • Great value and it does the job!

As reviewed by Dan on 8/24/2009

I wanted an inexpensive power center that I could use to switch on/off my Mackie studio monitors (without having to reach to the back of each one) and to reduce the loud buzzing that was coming out of the monitors. My home has dimmer switches which contribute heavily to AC buzz. Wow, the Pro 900 did the trick. I can now barely hear any hum or buzz coming out of the monitors at all, even when I operate the lights with dimmers. This is a well built, high quality piece of gear for a low price.

  • Not a bad power center, but get the pro 2500.

As reviewed by Ryan on 4/5/2011

This is a great item for beginners or someone that just wants rack power center and not much more. This system is incredibly reliable, and it has a long cord; which is nice. The 900 has a solid full metal construction to it. I have own this system for about four years now. It was in my gig rack for about six months until I upgraded to the pro 2500. The power cable is literally almost a half inch thick. I now use it to power my PA system in my practice studio. Unfortunately, this unit doesn't feature the isolated power that the pro 2500 has. That feature is incredibly useful, and makes your entire rig dummy proof. The isolated power keeps your power clean when you have more than one item plugged into the power center. It is a very useful feature for powering effects processors, and loop controllers. So the one this I hope you take away from this, is that if you are just buying it for a rack power center and not much more; it is perfect. But, if you want more useful feathers; including the isolated power circuits, and the power on delays, then buy the Monster Power Pro 2500.

  • Nice, but Spend a few $$ more for the 2500 model.

As reviewed by T on 2/4/2011

This is a pretty decent product but it is basically a rackmount power strip for $100. The outlets are NOT isolated so this is not much better than using a regular power strip but it is rack mountable which does add a lot of convenience. Monster makes a good product and GC usually doesn't make an issue if something breaks and will exchange it without any problems. Great if you're really on a budget but have them price match the 2500 model and spend another $50 for more versatility and options.
