For a time when instrument cables are so expensive, the simple Monster cable does the job. I bought 2 12 foot cables and they are fine for my studio. I play with a Gibson Les Paul Studio and don't get any scratching or sounds when moving around with the cables. I am happy with the sound, I just find it very difficult to spend more than what these babies cost for cables. A little pricey for a basic cable, but that's the Monster brand name. I'm happy with them, no sound issues whatsoever and they are fat wires and easy to transport. There are better cables out there, but you gotta be willing to shell out the $$. For the $20 each I spent on the 12 footer, I feel I got a very good value.

I Dont really like this cable, when i bought it i thought monster cables were the stuff, but now as i grow in my knowledge of live sound. These cables suck. When ever I'm playin a gig the cable is always tangled and comes out of my strat. When I'm playin my Tele, its the other way around, i can barley get the cable out. I suggest getting LiveWire cables, there expensive but the are the stuff.

I've had a few of these, and they've always worked great. Plus it's hard to argue with their warranty.

monster cable s-100 (6ft)

By ANGEL HERNANDEZ

from Edinburg, Tx

Good cable, rugged construction & the velcro tie is a nice addition. The only small issue i had was with the colored rubber bands that come with it to identify different cables, they would keep rolling off...i fixed that with a little super glue. Besides that minimal issue good overall cable, i would recommend it. Side note...wish Monster Cables would make a tweed cable!

Great cable for the price

By Stanley A Bulkiewicz

Bought the 21 foot version of this cable. For the price - it's an excellent buy. Although it doesn't have the durability of top-tier cables, for 20 dollars, you can't really go wrong. No complaints and highly recommended.

Save up the pennies-see the difference.

By Guitar And Bass Runner

from Omaha, NE

I've been a player for seven years. I tour and own a substantial fleet of equipment. I've tried the cheap cables and the free cables. I've tried everything from most of the major cable makers. Then, after receiving a gift card from a GC store opening, I went and purchased a 21 foot Monster Cable. The ends are a uni-body design and the color tags are a nice plus. The cable is plenty heavy for almost any job and the Velcro tie is nice too. The buzzing that I had with some of my guitars has stopped! I'm truly a Monster musician now. The no haggle warranty puts the icing on the cake. If it EVER breaks, take it to any Monster dealer and get an on-the-spot replacement. Buy Monster and you will see and hear the difference.

Great Guitar Cable!!!

By Alan

from Houston, TX

This is a cable I've owned for 1 year and 9 months and it still works like the day I got it. I've tossed it, it's been tangled up, it's been on my gig bag half the time (not anymore) and it has survived about 9 practice sessions with my band. I still use it today! The quality is great:No extra noise, no missing guitar tone. So get your cable, maybe it'll outlive any other gear you might have. I recommend it!

Good Value

By Kevin Cox

from West Chester, PA

The cable does it's job, it doesn't break. I've had mine for nearly a year now and honestly I'm very prone to breaking things. I've had problems with other things but never the Monster cable. It doesn't cost that much and it does a good job so I'd say it's a good value.

It's a Monster Cable.

By Craig

from Dover, New Jersey

Yeah, I was looking to purchase a known name cord known for quality, and what did I choose? Monster Cable! When I first removed this cord from it's packaging, or should I say while I was removing this cord from it's packaging, I thought I might have damaged it because this cable feels very flimsy. So after I got it all untangled and plugged it into me amp and bass, wow, this cord has some nice sound with no loss of signal with no repeater or EQ attached. At 21' and no effects or added amplification added. This cord is nice and quiet, contrary to it's flimsiness. An instrument cable @ 21 ' as flimsy as this being as quiet as it is, if I didn't know any better, I would think I had my bass hooked up with a pro-co-sound Life Line. But a Life Line @ 21" would cost twice as much as this lower end Monster cable. I recommend this cable to anyone who wants to cable up on a budget, just make sure your amp is off while switching guitars because this cable makes one heck of a noise when you disconnect it from your guitar to hook up another one. I think I might start using these cables a some of the gigs I play at that have smaller stages, these cable are very very flexible, just be careful winding them up after use not to knot them up. Life lines and the like require large loops to ties to your back, these you can just run through a belt loop twice to make a small loop and there you go, instant wire management. Did I say these are very flexible? Life Lines can cause a hazard if they loop up on stage by looping up on the floor and standing up on their own, this model monster cable is very flexible, if it loops up, it lies flat on the floor. sweet. It might not last as long as a Life Line, by hey, what would you rather do? Trip over your life lines loop on the floor or step on a flat monster cable loop? These cables sound nice and they lay flat. Oh, and did I also mention that they're priced right? Thanks for reading, if your opinion of this cable differs from mine, feel free to contradict what I've said. But I still don't think you'll find a better cable for the same price.

Good quality cable

By Bob the Destroyer

from Temecula, California

I bought this cable because every other cable I owned had shorted out and stopped working. I had heard good things about Monster cables so i decided i would get one and it was a great choice. It has a clear sound and works well for the price. I use it with my ESP and I have no problems with noise when I move around and it always accurately transmits my sound. Plus it has a lifetime warranty what else do you need for a cable.

Monster is a great cable, a little pricey, but the lifetime guarantee makes up for that. These are actually entry level cables, and have done me fine.
