For a time when instrument cables are so expensive, the simple Monster cable does the job. I bought 2 12 foot cables and they are fine for my studio. I play with a Gibson Les Paul Studio and don't get any scratching or sounds when moving around with the cables. I am happy with the sound, I just find it very difficult to spend more than what these babies cost for cables. A little pricey for a basic cable, but that's the Monster brand name. I'm happy with them, no sound issues whatsoever and they are fat wires and easy to transport. There are better cables out there, but you gotta be willing to shell out the $$. For the $20 each I spent on the 12 footer, I feel I got a very good value.

I Dont really like this cable, when i bought it i thought monster cables were the stuff, but now as i grow in my knowledge of live sound. These cables suck. When ever I'm playin a gig the cable is always tangled and comes out of my strat. When I'm playin my Tele, its the other way around, i can barley get the cable out. I suggest getting LiveWire cables, there expensive but the are the stuff.

Monster Cables

By Todd

from Toledo, OH

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I have tried getting the cheaper cables, but they just didn't cut it. I took the next step up and picked up a few Monster Cables, and they are the best sounding cables that are put together to last forever. The cables I purchased came with a Lifetime Warranty. You really can't go wrong with these cables. I use it to play my Fender Stratocaster and even connect my effect pedals. This is an all-around great choice.

Monster Cable that Rocks!

By 1995*Strat

from Cleveland,OH

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I'm not sure about all the technical mumbo jumbo with this cord but I do know one thing, this guitar cable does sound incredible. I couldn't believe the difference between this and a Marshall cord I was using. This cord is built like a tank but also very flexible. The connectors are solid and also include changeable color-coded rings, which I guess would come in handy if you were plugging many cables in. The price may seem like a lot to pay for a guitar cord but trust me it's well worth it. The lifetime warranty can't be beat. Try one today, you'll be happy you did. It?s the best sounding cord I?ve ever owned.

Monster cable

By Guitarman

from Indiana

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

This cable is by far, the best one ive used on my guitar. I've had it for almost a year now, and it still works like the day i bought it. Last year i went through three cables, because the end came loose. The best part about this cable is that the cord is soft, so it won't tangle. It saved me countless times, when i had to set up my equipment to go on stage, and not having to untangle any cords.

A Monster Of A Cable

By zedthewizard

from Rutland, VT

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

The Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable is a great cable for the weekend warrior. The only reason I rate it 4.5 across the board is that they have a heavier duty line that must be better based on the quality of this cable. I used the Monster S-100 cable on a 300 watt HD 147 rig, as well as, on much smaller amps. It never let me down. I'm a big fan of the molded rather than the metal screw cable ends as a result of using the S-100. Great cable at the price!

Great cable for basic playing

By Benny the Jet Rodrigus

from Indiana

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I recently purchased the Monster S-100 cable and so far I am quite satisfied. The cable is great for practice and is very clear. However, I don't know if I would be comfortable using it on stage. While the cable is reliable during practice, I'm not sure it could hold up to the demands on stage play. Another feature is the warranty, if this cable is ever not in working condition for any reason it will be replaced by monster for free no questions asked. Overall a great practice cable but not quite up to stage standards.

Monster cable... none better.

By John

from UT

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I waited 6 months to write a review on them. Let's just say they hold up to the positive Monster reputation. 6 months of playing at least 2 hours a day, most days 4-5 hours a day. Still no fuzz or scratching, even when I jump around like I'm some kind of rock star. I've played everything and never heard a crackle. Fingerpicking, thick rock distortion, strumming chords like a hippy, whatever. I would not reccomend any other cable, not even the more expensive Monsters. These are the best value.

Great Guitar Cable!!!

By Alan

from Houston, TX

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

This is a cable I've owned for 1 year and 9 months and it still works like the day I got it. I've tossed it, it's been tangled up, it's been on my gig bag half the time (not anymore) and it has survived about 9 practice sessions with my band. I still use it today! The quality is great:No extra noise, no missing guitar tone. So get your cable, maybe it'll outlive any other gear you might have. I recommend it!

Save up the pennies-see the difference.

By Guitar And Bass Runner

from Omaha, NE

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I've been a player for seven years. I tour and own a substantial fleet of equipment. I've tried the cheap cables and the free cables. I've tried everything from most of the major cable makers. Then, after receiving a gift card from a GC store opening, I went and purchased a 21 foot Monster Cable. The ends are a uni-body design and the color tags are a nice plus. The cable is plenty heavy for almost any job and the Velcro tie is nice too. The buzzing that I had with some of my guitars has stopped! I'm truly a Monster musician now. The no haggle warranty puts the icing on the cake. If it EVER breaks, take it to any Monster dealer and get an on-the-spot replacement. Buy Monster and you will see and hear the difference.

monster cable s-100 (6ft)

By ANGEL HERNANDEZ

from Edinburg, Tx

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

Good cable, rugged construction & the velcro tie is a nice addition. The only small issue i had was with the colored rubber bands that come with it to identify different cables, they would keep rolling off...i fixed that with a little super glue. Besides that minimal issue good overall cable, i would recommend it. Side note...wish Monster Cables would make a tweed cable!

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I play live one/two times a week while having rehearsal 4 days a week. For 6 years I've used two 12' s-100 cords. I like the light-weight molded 1/4 ends better than the heavy metal ends, it puts less stress on my amps input. They also fit better in recessed input holes like the one on my Fernandes Atlas 4 Deluxe.

    Quality Cable - Fair Price

    By seekg

    from Farmington Hills, MI

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I use this cable with an Oberheim OB-8 analogue synthesizer. I've had this cable for approximately five years and I haven't had any trouble. I feel that this cable is a nice compromise between cheap cables and high-end cables. The price is not too much higher than cheap cables, but feel much sturdier than cheap cables. Compared to high end cable, the gauge will not be as thick and the sound may not be quite as good, but for the everyday musician the extra cost is not warranted. I highly recommend this cable.

Very difficult to break, looks just as good

    By ChrisN

    from Concord CA

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

For years, I have been buying cables, only to have them break in a couple of months. So I figured, an expensive cable must be better. And it was. I have had the 3 foot, the 9 foot, and the 21 foot, and all have lasted me well over a year. If you want a cable to last you awhile, and sound good the whole time. Get the Monster Cable S-100 1/4"

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

    Its ok

    By Vinny

    from CO

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

Its pretty average, its not too expensive, and most of what you are paying for is the monster name brand. It definitely could be better. The amount of noise it produces is no better than cheaper cables. my only other real complaint is that, on its own the cable will randomly twist around its self, and that is pretty annoying when you move around when you play (like I do)

    By Jacob

Comments about Monster Cable S-100 1/4" Straight Instrument Cable:

I bought 2 six foot cables and I'm very pleased. They're best for recording because of the lenght but they're very durable and put out a great and clear tone.
