Ok, so there are many who believe all cables are created equal. This simply is not true. Quality of wire, solder points, shielding and connection material plays into your signal and can be the best or worst thing in your signal chain. Plugging in your guitar for a garage jam session, not a big deal. Recording your demo or having an accurate feed into your mixing monitors, crucial. Mogami wire is the holy grail of cables, but monster makes a dang good product and I really like the multiple gauges and time correct wirings they use. I don't have to worry about treble or high freq's being sent faster then my bass and low mids. you get an accurate spread of how it is supposed to sound and at the right time. I use these cables for all my rack gear and monitor outs and even used it for my bass guitar until I found that monster makes a bass guitar specific cable, also well worth it.
