I bought my Gold Mogami online. I was out to buy the best sounding bass guitar cable made. I was thinking...Mogami! Wow, was I wrong. Right off...the expensive "GOLD" cable did not fit properly with my 1/4" output jacks. The cable/bass would pop because of not "locking" when you'd plug it into your axe. I contacted Mogami..the rep said "that I needed, should have the more expensive Platinum" 20'er. Ok..sounds ok. I shipped them my GOLD one...got what I was told a "floor model" Platinum. It lasted 3-4 months before my audio levels started dropping intermittenly due to cable failure. I figure if your going to go for the best...and you pay outrageous prices for a guitar cable, it had better last...be bullet proof and the company ought to back the product. This time when I contacted the same Mogami rep. He did return my email wondering what was going on. The rep did tell me...that the Platinum was a bit delicate and could develop problems if rolled up too tightly (which was definitely not the problem) He also said it could develop shorts if stepped on! Hello! Your onstage playing in front thousands of peeps out there and you have to worry about not stepping on a guitar cable! We made arrangements to meet up. He said he'd call me or email to get me a new cable before I left on my european set of dates. No call, no email. I've called, I've sent now 3-4 emails and even though I've now written two other reps there as well. Still no return calls or emails in regards to my cable failure. For my hard earned money...I'm trying other cable brands.

Mogami stands by its product

By

from Cicero, IL

Comments about Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable:

I purchased a 20 ft MOGAMU platinum cable several years ago at GC. At a recent gig, I forget to lock my cable into my guitar strap and when I moved onstage I bent the cable end in the amplifier. Although it was MY FAULT in bending the cable end, I contacted MOGAMI and they said bring it to any GC store and it will be replaced brand new. That's what I call standing by your product.

Well worth the money.

Comments about Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable:

Like anyone, I was skeptical about the price tag on a guitar cable. As soon as I got the package, I opened it up and plugged it straight from guitar to amp. I seemed to get a lot more feel out of my guitar and it wasn't such a "fight" to get the sounds I wanted out of my Strat. The silent connector lets you hot swap guitars too. The lifetime warranty is really great.

Mogami Platinum Cable

By

from Cayucos By The Sea, CA

Comments about Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable:

Several months ago I visited your San Jose, CA store. I purchased a 12 Foot Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable to try. This very substantially constructed cable performs well, conducting a virtually noiseless signal to my Fender Amp. The gold plated integrated Anti-Pop plug on the cable is a great product feature. This is a relatively expensive product...and is well worth it, in my opinion !

Wow

By

from Mason, Ohio

Comments about Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable:

This is probably the highest quality cable money can buy. It's very very nice to be able to plug in the cable without all of the annoying noise. You can tell the quality of the cable is great not only because of the sound but it's durability and the thickness of it. I've had it for 3.5 months and never had a technical problem with it. The only real problem i have with it is that you can't get it with a right angle end.

Pricey but works great

By

from Houston, Texas

Comments about Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable:

I bought this for my duo partner who has a bad habit of forgetting to step on his tuner pedal before pulling the instrument cable out of his guitar. Our fans were always treated to a big WHAPPP!! at every break, but no more! Now if only he could remember to put the red end of the cable into the guitar jack.....

Steller!!!

By

from Dayton, TX

Comments about Mogami Platinum Guitar Cable:

I've been saving up for a long time to get a couple of these cables for my band's gigs; well I finally got them. They are worth way more that what they are sold for. This is a steller deal. The sound is crystal clear and is silent when pulling out of instruments. These cable are great for everything. I will never go back to Monster again. The Mogomi Platinium Guitar Cable Rocks!!!
