Been thru hell and back

I bought my first (of 2) Q5s about 12 years ago because I was sold on the neck stability inherent in the graphite composite. What I wasn't prepared for was the brilliant sound...DEEP and full lows thanks to the 35" scale and piano like clarity on the high notes. That was with the stock EMGs. My 2nd baby came fi=ully loaded with Barts, Aguillar Pre and a sick looking Cocobolo top along with a custom fingerboard. Needless to say, the sound was fantastic, and, well, now I have TWO!!! Makes crappy amps sound good and makes great amps sound otherworldly. They aren't cheap, but they last a lifetime. I've had no problems with either of them and Modulus will build to your specs if you have the patience and the funds. The stock basses are still amazing and I play my first as much as my second to this day.
