The Modulus Funk Unlimited FB5 is a uniquely shaped double-cutaway 5-string bass guitar with an alder body. Its space-age carbon-fiber neck has a compound-radius composite fingerboard, pearl-dot top position markers, and bidirectional relief adjusting rod. The Basslines MM pickup is controlled by a Bartolini active tone system with master volume and 2-band EQ.
A Modulus Quantum bass neck featured on the Modulus FB5 electric bass is a lightweight, ultra-rigid D-shaped shell made from dozens of layers of hand-formed, aerospace-grade, epoxy-impregnated carbon fibers. Its miraculous strength-to-weight ratio and extreme resonant peak make it ideal for producing unclouded, even tone. Because carbon fiber telegraphs attack more quickly than conventional wood necks, it also aids articulation and clearly pronounces attack dynamics. A non-structural relief adjusting system adjusts in both directions, allowing for underbow and overbow. Each note produced on this 5-string Modulus bass is full, with abundant low and high harmonics. The harder material adds extra high-end sizzle and tighter focus to tone.
