  This pedal is perfect for my settings. I broke mine by accident and made the same choice without hesitation. I personally do not like when a volume pedal turns the sound completely off. When you push on such pedals to play your lead and then have to go back for the rhythm, you don't want to care about setting it back while being careful of not lowering the volume too much. if you think the same as me, this pedal is for you. all you have to do, is to use the knob on the side, and set your precise volume for your rhythms, and you won't have to worry about the rest. Of course, you can also use it in order to turn the sound off, but here the difference with some other pedals, is that you have the choice ! I just don't understand why all volume pedals don't have this option, personally I think it is stupid. Plus of this, your sound is not affected, and useful AUX too. I certainly can recommend this pedal, as I have used it during big tours, and it never failed me.

  I've had this pedal for about two months and it seems to be built really strong. I'm glad it doesn't effect my tone at all and is easy to keep in a single position without pushing down all the way or up all the way. I use it a lot and also to play the song Damage Inc. I really like having it and i thought it was a great buy.

• Another Great Pedal from Modtone

  I don't understand why more people don't use Modtone: they make the cheapest, best expression pedals out there. The Xcelerator is a great, highly effective volume pedal that also happens to be one of the cheapest on the market. It's passive, so you don't need any power and it can't suck tone. The adjustment knob on the side lets you dial in the amount of variation in volume: all the way counter-clockwise gives you no volume when the pedal is all the way back, full volume all the way forward; all the way clockwise gives you just a tiny variation. You can use it for volume swells, switching from lead to rhythmn, or a cool reverse effect. The only downside is that the four little raised dots on the bottom of the pedal make it difficult to mount onto a pedalboard. Excellent purchase!
