The ModTone Power Plant is professional quality power supply for the discriminating player. The ModTone Power Plant features a toroidal transformer with five outputs that are switchable from 9VDC to 12VDC, two feature SAG controls to go from 4V-9VDC, and the last is a 9VAC output. The Power Plant is designed to be used in conjunction with almost any effect pedal you can put on your pedalboard. Each output is isolated and designed to operate without adding any noise to your signal path.

  • Modtone Power Plant and PT-2

    Great power supply. Everything is noiseless. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5, is because the AC IN and AC OUT don't line up with the holes already cut out of the Pedaltrain pedal board that I also bought. I bought the PT-2 and I'm assuming that the Junior and Pro sizes are cut out with the same spacing. I had to cut more out of the pedaltrain to accommodate for the wider spacing of the Power Plant. The mounting brackets that came with the pedaltrain do fit the Power Plant. Modtone obviously uses a similar box for the Power Plant as Voodoo Labs does for their power supplies, so why couldn't Modtone put the AC IN/OUT in the same place?

  • What to look for in a power supply

    I've had this for a couple months. The main factor when going for a power supply like this is (for me) the ability to keep the effects noisless and for the supply to be versatile. I have a few weird botique pedals, as well as boss, etc. and this supply allows me to power them all. I love the SAG controls which give the botique pedals the sound they're supposed to have (as with a dying battery). The supply keeps the pedals dead quiet which is a key. Built like a tank, this will last quite some time. Looks fine, works great, exactly what one needs when you have pedals with variable voltages and need clean, quiet power.

  • Power Up!

    This thing has everything you'll need to power your pedalboard. Outputs can handle both 9VDC and 12VDC which is quite useful. SAG controls are great if you want to emulate that diying fuzz effect. So far I had no problems with it, it's noise free and it works perfectly with my pedals. The only complain I have is the lack of a 18VDC output.
