in contrast to the previous comment, I had no issues at all with this sweet guitar. all I can say is if anyone should by this guitar and has any issues, return it for another. I was willing to pay a lot more for an acoustic guitar with electronics and a cutaway that was as comfortable and playable as this one.

intonation is great as well, and sounds wonderful through my Roland 33 acoustic amplifier. I line out into my fender passport mini if I want to use the twin reverb sound that offers.
hurry up and by this guitar before they change the price! it's a steal. why pay more money if you don't have to. I highly recommend it for females like myself, or young people with smaller hands and body.
P.S. if the gentleman (customer from Gloster, who told me how this guitar played like a dream reads this
comment, I want the give a huge Thank you ! You helped me in more ways than you will ever know!

Have had this guitar for about a week now.. Usually I play on a Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Traditional Pro.
The Mitchell MO120CESB floor model surprisingly sounded better strumming and for low tones, than the brand name models that were similar and more expensive. Electronics seem decent so far, pre-amp and tuner are on point.
***Guitar sounds great AFTER setup/adjustments have been made***
Frets were rough out of the box, had to be smoothed out and polished.
Frets 1-3 had buzz on Low E and B strings.
Fret board Rosewood was dry.
> Slight Truss rod adjustment and raised the saddle slightly for higher action. No more buzz.
> Guitar tone got louder and nicer, but strings kept cutting into plastic saddle within a few hours of playing. Placed paper between strings B and High E string and w/ saddle, and everything is great immediately and three days later. Eventually I will probably replace the plastic saddle with a bone saddle.
Guitar neck is "slim" and comfortable. Very playable.
She sounds great on a Fender Mustang 1 V2 amp clean channel or with slight reverb.
Always getting compliments from the ladies and guys in the neighborhood for my guitar sounding beautiful when I play outside unplugged ;) The Vintage Sunburst gloss finish is also great!

Comments about Mitchell MO120CESB Acoustic-Electric Cutaway:

Had never touched a Mitchell, although I saw them in GC on most visits. PIcked this model out of the line and was amazed. Specifically:

      (1) Auditorium size. My shoulder has developed an allergy -- getting old -- and can't stand the dreads without a lot of pain. This one fit nicely with a thin body and sounded great acoustically. It did need a set up -- which many of these reviews tend to ignore.

      (2) The acoustic sound is very good as i sit on the back porch and play. Essential to me, since most playing for me is in front of people in P A systems and I have play on or off stage. Needs to sound good to me in that setting. Thankfully,

      (2) the guitar has a secret weapon. The pickup is fed not by a tinny under the saddle system but, rather, by a Condensor mic that makes all the difference.

      (3) A neck bow needed attention, but nothing else. The GC tech Mark in my store set it just right with the truss bar and the low action was perfect.

      (3) I have more expensive guitars but this is the one I reach for at home and, usually, on a small stage. May look for another to get set up to play slide guitar on to mix in in performance.

      (4) Looks good. The sunburst is well done and compliments the Alvarez parlor guitar that I do keep on stage and play from time to time.

So -- what do we have? Don't blow past a Mitchell brand name and assume the more expensive ones will make you a better guitar player. They won't. Play what sounds good to your ear and heart. Good acoustic sound and a big thumbs up for the sound system in the little critter.

Comments about Mitchell MO120CESB Acoustic-Electric Cutaway:

I recently purchased this guitar and was pleasantly pleased with the quality and sound. Since I was a on small budget, I thought it would be hard to find a nice guitar in this price range. The built-in tuner is handy and the preamp sounds great. I tested it through a Marshall 30Watt amp. The body is a little thinner than a standard acoustic which makes it easier to handle but takes away some volume from the sound without an amp. Overall I would recommend this guitar to a friend

I don't normally write bad reviews. My thought is if you don't have anything nice to say...... With that being said, this is probably the worst acoustic guitar I have ever put my hands on. The tuners were all loose and mad a constant rattle. The guitar would not stay in tune and sounded tinny when it was in tune. It looked nice from a distance, but when you looked at it close you could see obvious overspray and imperfections in the wood. I decided to return it instead of spending money on a set up, especially since even a quality set up wouldn't overcome this guitar's shortcomings.

Ordered this guitar back on October 21st when it was on sale for $119. It was on back order til December 16th, when I finally got it the 19th, so shipping (when it was actually available) was fairly fast! Received the long awaited guitar only to discover the built in tuner doesn't work! The lights come on but the display doesn't show anything. Contacted customer service about what my options were for the broken tuner AND I'd also discovered the guitar had went further on sale for $99 after all my frustration with it already! The customer service person was not helpful at all, I pretty much had to talk myself thru all the options, asking questions, etc.! I've ordered a new one for the sale price, hoping it'll show up in better condition and am planning to return the defective guitar the next time I pass thru a town with a Guitar Center store.
