I highly recommend getting this acoustic guitar. Whether you're looking to own another, or trying to find a good one to start with, this is a great choice either way. The price is a steal for this guitar. The neck is smooth and you can slide up and down the neck with ease, nailing riffs and licks with precision and sounding awesome at the same time. Which is what this guitar does. The sound is clear and the tone is great; it sounds warm and bright. The tuning pegs are big and it makes the guitar easy to tune. The guitar stays in tune for a good amount of time too, it's not so easy to get it out of tune. Overall it's a great guitar, buy it if you can.

Mitchelle MO100S I received is nothing like the specs say it is. First off it does not have a solid top. Maybe the manufacturer started building them with a solid top at one time and later on they decided to go with a laminate top and never bothered to change the specs or the model name, shame on them. The dimensions specified do not match the dimensions of the actual guitar. It does not have a 1.75" nut-width, which was one of the reasons I ordered it, it has a standard 1-11/16" nut-width. The specs say the lower bout is 15.0" but, it is 15-3/8", it says the depth is 4-15/16" and it's only 4-1/2". And the guitar has a horrible sound. I bought a Rogue concert size a few years ago for my son that had a regular price of 79 which had a prettier tone than this one. However, this guitar is pretty and I found no cosmetic imperfections on it anywhere.
Needless to say I sent this one back in exchange for a different one.
I have been buying music gear from Musician's Friend since the late 80's and I can tell you these guys are the nicest, friendliest, and the most professional people you'll find anywhere. When they advertise "your satisfaction is guaranteed" they truely mean it and they will go out of their way to make things right. I have ordered from six other on- line dealers when MF is out of stock on the item that I want and none of the other dealers can even come close to these guy's professional mannerisms and business ethics.

Comments about Mitchell MO100S Solid-Top Orchestra Guitar:

So I was looking for a smaller body guitar to keep around the house or at work. I have really nice guitars ( Gibson, Seagull ect.) and I don't want them to get beat up by keeping them out of their cases. I really wanted something to beat on a little and something that is replaceable if it gets damaged. This is a sweet little guitar. It is not going to give you the sound of a Martin but for under $200 you really can't go wrong. Construction seems solid. Fit and finish are very good, better than most in the under $200 market. The tuners are smooth and hold the tune very well. The neck is straight and fairly smooth for a hi-gloss neck. The fretboard is of good quality and the fret edges are nice and smooth. The solid spruce top gives this guitar a nice snappy tone. I also like the abalone rosette. All in all a good guitar for just jamming out and for practice. It plays easy after a quick truss rod adjustment and some new strings.

Comments about Mitchell MO100S Solid-Top Orchestra Guitar:

I bought the Natural color from a girl in Iowa who had bought the complete pack and no longer wanted to play.... I needed a wider neck than my Yamaha FG730 was giving me, so took a chance.
. I changed the plastic saddle out for bone ( easy to do), and now the action and tone are both excellent. It has a lot of volume for the size, and the 1-3/4" nut width gives me room finger-style fretting. Love this guitar.

I added an Artec WSH12-BB soundhole pickup to mine. I use it frequently for a contemporary worship service. I run straight into a Behringer submixer with an ART FX-1 in the effects loop, then straight into the house board.

Great little guitar, nice cosmetics, compact and lightweight. Fits snuggly in a Musician's Gear classical case, but it does fit.

This guitar has a great warm sound, but also has a robust sound, it really jumps out there. I needed a guitar that I could just grab and work on my writing. When you play a certain chord, it sounds like that chord right away. This Mitchell MO100s also stays in tune for a long time.It fits me great, well built, solid, and looks great. You would not go wrong in this investment.

My grandmother was going to get and Epiphone PR-150 for me but when she went in to the local guitar center she found out that they went out of stalk. She ended up buying me the Mitchell MO100S/VS. When i found this out, I was really mad. But i decided since she spent the money id try it out. when She dropped it off at my hose i tuned it up and when i played i was amazed at the quality of sound and how rich it was. I'm so glad i decided to try it out instead of being a jerk about not getting what it wanted. I love my Mitchell and if you're thinking of getting this guitar i would highly recommend it. It just sounds great, stays in tune, its easy to play, and every time I play, it seems that the sound gets better and better.

Comments about Mitchell MO100S Solid-Top Orchestra Guitar:

Having sold my Taylor 410 a few years ago, I'm looking for a replacement that is cheaper (so when the kids draw on it I don't weep in front of them) but not a non-responsive box with strings. That's the bummer coming from the 410 - I want a cheap, worry-free guitar but I'm spoiled by a "real guitar" sound. I played all the 000's, folks, and smaller guitars in the room today and this one really blew me away. The neck was the best, I swear the frets were polished, and the sound was balanced. I kept looking at the price and wondering how it would hold up when, inevitably, my 2 year old stands on top of it. I'm still shopping, but this one is a 4 star on my list. And the neck was MUCH better than the budget $800 Martin in the room.
